Someone at fromsoft really sat down with everyone at a meeting, tapped their pen against their chin in contemplation, and said to the rest of the room "You know....dragon incantations really need a buff" and everyone agreed with them.
The best part about bayles tyranny is you have insane hyperarmour as soon as the actual dragon comes out. You can also boost with magma talisman, fire/lightning cracked tear, and fgms/GV. Took out a host with around 2200 hp in one hit not in dragon form
1:524:43 JESUS, right when I thought the breath was bad enough, that bite is just such a brutal finish. I'm kind of surprised Chase went all physical for this -- there was some room to add Catch Flame and Grant Me Strength in here as quick options. Still an absolutely brutal dragon build though.
@@gravitonnedissapointment1820 this build isn't so scary. Every int and many faith casters counter it. Strong melee aggression counters it. Glass cannon PvP builds aren't popular for a reason.
Shield poke builds counter it pretty easily since you can just walk through the attacks then stab them the second they fall, especially if it's an armorless guy. I killed a few dragon users running this build that tried attacking while I was tanking for my noob friend. The breaths have basically no poise break and all the good breaths like Rot or Maw or Claw do physical damage which gets 100% blocked by Finger Print or Verdigis shield which already have high guard boost. A few bloody sword lance pokes shreds an armorless near instantly since they're glass cannons. And after the DLC, shield pokers are everywhere due to the introduction of sword lance and verdigis, as well as the bosses having so much health you have to do blood damage, plus they're all faster and more aggressive so shielding is the move. Chase got lucky that he only faced one shield using tank and he was double handing it.
Oh, you weren't here for Link were you? The entire channel went wild when Link finally won a duel, and Chase was cheering him on even as the fight progressed.
Not many hit the required threshold of skill, especially in random invasions, and it's always so good when it happens. That backstab was not easy to pull off.
I've been thinking of doing a dragon communion build lately. Always nice to see Chase test it out first, gives me something to aspire to while I'm getting stomped learning something new 😅
I often play for fashion souls so I'm somewhat used to less than optimal poise, but 0 is another story lol. I was thinking I'd run beast claws with endure for the flavour.
@@RankStankulon Better learn which incants have HA, dragonmaw is infinite and dragonclaw, bayle's tyranny and flame lightning also have a great amount.

@gojirasaiyan3256 Poison Perfume Bottles should scale well with the Arcane you're investing to use the Dragon Communion Seal in the first place and get deadly poison on it as well. That or another light weapon with a Blood/Poison/Occult infusion. There's actually an insightful video by Crightt detailing a build focused on the Rock Heart Transformation supplemented with Dryleaf Arts as a melee option. Definitely worth a watch.
In that last invasion I saw a clear example of Chase engaging in build profiling and almost killing a fellow invader all because he saw a wizard hat. Internet, CANCEL THIS MAN.
I usually appreciate chase's gameplay for his nuanced and super fluid understanding of his loadout's options. Today, though, I am happy seeing Dragon Incantation go brrrrr. Sometimes big numbers just work
Just an FYI for fellow dragon bros, you can chain dragon claw into dragon claw with no recovery when you're dual wielding seals if you alternate which one you're casting from (cast with the right, then the left).
The Iron Dragon video was the one that got me into this channel. Happy to be here to finally see this one. It’s a beautiful day when someone lands a Dragon Maw
While it may initially seem that *SACRED BLOODY FLESH* would work well for this build with the arcane boost, “unfortunately,” there is no bleed dragon breath. 😅 I guess you could always spam Bloodboon Ritual, or use an offhand seppuku stick. The buff does affect incant damage, but so many dragon incants one-shot on a well optimized build anyway. Actually, I’m coming around on it. It’s overkill in pvp, but for pve if you’re doing a pure dragon build the offhand seppuku would be great for squeezing out a lot of extra incant damage, representing about a 9% increase over exalted flesh, more if you can fit LoB’s exultation (you can always hardswap off it).
The return of the Blue Dancer Charm! My favorite. I was going to ask for another round of Blue Dancer builds since we have some more light weapon options now but you beat me to it!
Something that works really well with this build as well is the dane's footwork and other martial art weapon, poison infused with Poison Flower Blooms Twice. You can put on the rot's exultation talisman for extra damage, since you'll be using both rot and poison. You could also swap between the shattered stone and blessed blue dew talismans with the canvas talismans is you're low and/or wanna conserve FP. I call it the Crouching Toxic, Hidden Dragon build
I have been waiting for you to do this since like your first few dlc videos. Bayle's tyrrany is kinda bad but it's really fun to land the hit (in areas like say shadow keep or a catacomb where they can't run away), focus all the buffs on fire/lightning damage, and one hit them.
You hitting the second invader in the last segment kinda reminded me of the mound- maker mad phantoms of ds3. Sadly I still haven't maxed out that covenant yet but it was fun watching full pandemonium happen in online multiplayer.
tip for using Bayle's Tyranny, you don't need endure because it has inherent hyper armour anyways, and it's VERY powerful hyper armour. It activates as soon as the head comes out so it makes for an amazing trade tool, basically you want to use on someone who has committed to attacking you, kind of as a light predict. If you land it, it can very VERY easily one shot.
With the introduction of bayles incantations, we can now have a 3 combo spell chain with Bayle's flame lightning , to dragonclaw, and then to dragonclaw again or dragon maw. I haven't found any other practical use for bayels spells, but the 3 spell combo is DEADLY
