Fantastic vehicle walk around video. Great to see such a variety of different vehicles all in various stages. Plenty of upcoming videos for us to feast our eyes on as you work on them.
Nice update, I'll check out the Mazda project, you have to be brave to restore a 30 year old one of them, so complicated the bodyshell panels all combining together....
Hi great to see you both again looks like you've fallen into the trap of too many projects and not enough time been there I have a Wolseley 4/44 in my garage since 1998 Kev Went rainy Devon (good luck)👍
Nice lineup there. How do you manage to slot in all that work in addition to your normal job, especially during these winter days? And what tools and garage equipment to you use, maybe a video on that and where you get your parts from would also be interesting and beneficial to viewers. Cheers🐞
Thanks for an interesting tour. I'm a bit of a traditionalist with minis and have just about finished restoring a 66' however here in Canada I have seen others with tube sub frames that make them rear engined with Japanese power. Your green one might be a good candidate for that. Cheers!
Suburu rwdfor ge old shell that looks still in decent shape. Jagoojs nice and clean out if the exhaust. Ithought you may have major issues with the ammount os smoke and steam out the back. Hope themx 5 is just valve stem seals . Smoing and burnig oul from cold is usually oil control rings in my experience ussully 8mproving alittl when up to temp. Great vids guys live your channel
Is it the camera or do the jag brake lights look like reversing lights , for the work shop that you have, your doing a fine job , also watching Yorkshire car restoration , and thinking you keep up with them
I well remember the extension work on the garage and all that work on the mini too . But never recall seeing the 205 . Mark l'd seriously think about returning it to standard . A 1.9 went under the hammer for £11k yesterday ........ The house must belong to the family ? Thanks both and to your lady Mark .
Hi gents…an idea for the mini shell…how about dropping it onto something like a early Suzuki Vitara or similar and making it 4 wheel drive…would make a fun off road project…what do you think?…great content on the channel 👍
You both have a good selection of projects now, have you ever thought of putting up a whiteboard up to keep tabs on a start till finish project, or do you think NOT 😂
Cool vid! :) With the old rotten mini shell have you thought about making it into a trailer for the main mini? Failing that, make it into a big 4x4 and take it green laning. ;)
Hi thank you. We’ll have an update on gearbox in the next episode but basically the kick down cable was too tight and needed adjusting. So much better now 👍
@@upbuild4397 definitely. Rear engine, get a crash damage or rusty Mgf or Elise. Give you a middle chassis to shorten keeping in mind you have already cut the rear seat panel anyway.
I'm all ears on what you will do with that body swap. I have three shells....A Cooper S, an 850 , and a poor old rusted bottom 1000. Will you breath life back into the 1000 ?
It might be a little while until we get to the body swap Mini shell, but I’m quite excited about working on it. There has been some interesting suggestions for the donor car in the comments. We would like to get hold of a 1275 for the mk1 mini at some point but I think the plan is to start with the 1000 and look at what we can do to it to breath a bit of life into it as you say. Regards Mark.
One of these days @@upbuild4397 , point me in the right direction to see how you put the shell on the rotisserie. I've never done that before and my mind boggles thinking of how the balancing works. Haven't spotted one of your videos with that yet.
Absolutely, maybe the next Mini episode we could have a walk around the rotisserie and explain a bit about it. Here is the video playlist on the making of the rotisserie, it quite old footage from a while back so not quite as good. ruclips.net/p/PLE04nF6RY_VFh6KyCofqmRONNIzQhIBWA&si=TReSGBhYVh_LmhdX
One of the of not the best dynamic duo of father , son car channels ever on RUclips, wonderful plus your wife behind the scenes
I think it will more informative when you do a full resto of a car
More MINI please 👍👍
Great update , Any chance you can go back and finish the mini.
I think your dad is a legend that loves a beer . . . .
Love the jag
Can't wait to see more progress on the Mini - it's going to be fantastic when completely done.
I love how you say, we are 'just' going to put the front end on it! To us mere mortals thats a massive undertaking, great catch up guys!!
Brilliant update gents 👏 Much credit to the camera lady also 🎥 👍
Thanks 👍
Mark . That 1.9 205 fetched £13,700 !!!
I reckon the time has passed for carving up straight 205 GTIs. Back to stock and that would make a good few quid for the kitty.
With the 205 you wouldn't go far wrong with going stock or a subtle resto mod.
205 values are going through the roof.

looking forward to seeing all this.Excellent lads keep it coming

The Jag is looking good
Well done lads crack on.

Excellent projects on the go ! No beer today boys ?🤣
I put a clapped out mini on a Sizuki SJ413, fits well. As long as the wheelbase is similar it makes it easier.

Great idea, though the earlier Suzuki Jimny/Samurai/SJ413 have pretty much exactly the same wheelbase as the classic Mini.
For rotten mini, hyundai i10. Reliable cheep to buy. No idea but maybe similar dimensions. 👍
Been thinking about body swapping the Mini shell. How about Ford KA, Nissan Micra, Suzuki Swift, VW Up/Skoda Citygo/SEAT Mii, MG3, Vauxhall Corsa B.
Another Jag please ?? Double Six??
This is very cool. Well done!
I think you should got a Suzuki ingnis sport for you mini I used to restore minis years ago loved it

What about fitting a Suzuki Jimmy 4x4 on the old Mini shell?
I have seen a mini shell on a Suzuki sj jeep chassis,🤔
Lots to do .
Now youv shown the world what you own hope you have a good alarm system 👍
Interesting video gents, I will be honest, only Jaguar has my attention. 😁
10:57 what about a Nissan micra
Jimny chassis
Suzuki jimney jeep 4*4 for mini body?
Would the Mini shell fit on something like the Suzuki Jimny?
Crack on lads

Nah, turn it into a shopping basket. Now that will turn heads at the local Tescos.🤣🤣🤣

Nice episode. BTW how did you sort out the auto box in the jag?

How about an MGF for the mini body swap?
This is an interesting one, I hadn’t thought about the mgf, cheap enough too 👍
