Top job. Great construction of the booth and a well executed diy / at home spray job. Can’t wait to see the next episode when hopefully we’ll see how it turned out and if there were any issues you found. I think you and your Dad deserved a large beer after all the effort. I was expecting to see the table and chairs appear in the booth with the glasses filled up. Perhaps that’s next time.
Great finish on the paint, love your vids. Surely positive air pressure would work better, blow in filtered air, then any leak will blow dust out, not suck in🤷♂️
Mark. Your a man after my own heart . I do my garage out in the same way BUT ! That zip door takes a few seconds to open . You have the timber framework so,, make a timber door with the filter padding and you can step in and out of it in seconds . And wear spray overalls . You'l be surprised how much they reduce contamination . But , overall ,fantastic result ! You have no idea of your natural skills . There are thousands of people who would murder to have the skills you have . Great stuff ! And l love your dad . Can l adopt him ! ❤
As an ex paint sprayer you’re plan for the booth is spot on, just be mindful of the fact plastic sheeting can hold a static charge which will attract and hold dust, which might spoil your day on a final gloss coat, just a thought 👍
Hi Thank you, really appreciate it, especially coming from a professional paint sprayer 👍 Thanks for the tip or heads up about the static on the sheets, I had wondered about that. Regards Mark.
Great effort getting that booth to be the best it can be - i think its going to turn out a cracking little bit of fun that Mazda.... Can't wait to see it and hear it on its first run out wearing its new clothes!
One thing I have seen is to hang a metal chain over the rear diff and touching the floor, to statically discharge the car to help prevent it from attracting dust.
Hi It’s between the Mini and the 205Gti. Couple of little jobs to finish off on the Mini so might be the 205. But there may be a slight different project to deal with first. Don’t worry though the Mini is coming back, we haven’t forgotten about it, just life gets in the way sometimes. Regards Mark.
I’m talking to the younger of the two Has anyone ever told you that your a look a like of Audrey Murphy the American Actor his in a lot of old war films . Love your Vids
What a brilliant job you're both doing and you lay a lovely coat of paint for a gun Finnish what paint are you using is it two pack looks amazing just another quick question how's the mk1 mini conversion coming on
I would have thought you would have made it in sections so it could be dismantled and reused again. Pity to take it apart now after all the hard work getting it right.
You and your dad are both stars, well done.
I never cease to be impressed with your skills. This is going to be a nice looking little car.
Cracking Job 👍👍A really good watch 👍👍Great working on this project with your Dad 🥳🥳
What a joy it must be working with Dad and having a cold Beer together
Well done lads.
That is an incredible finish for a home sprayed car, certainly has kept the area really clean.
The best show on TV...well done. Brilliant

Is the mini going in next?

very nice paint single stage with hardner ?exhause fan works great
Hi
Yeah single stage 2k, worked with it a bit in the past and found it quite good. We’ll wet sand it and machine polish it one it nicely hardened.
Can't you make that framework sectional with polycarbonate sheets on it then you could just put it up and down as and when you need it
I miss the mini
What happened at the end there? Good work on the booth, looks very effective for the budget.

Brilliant
Hi, when’s the next instalment? PS if you google your Reg it comes up with a finished picture of the car lol

Is the paint solvent based

Are you using a base and clear system or 2k direct gloss ? Great paint booth works a treat.
What's going on with binky ? The mini that's disappeared
Haha! Don’t worry we haven’t forgotten about it, it’s coming back just after life gets out of the way and we get caught up 😁👍
