An SAO character I’d love to see more of in the Progressive anime is Argo. She got only one line in the entire original anime if I recall correctly. She’s really cool. Her in-game role as an info broker could be shown more.
I have actually been a fan of Argo since first seeing her in the Christmas episode.... Just that little glimpse of her character left me wanting more! So glad I started reading Sao progressive.

If you actually watched the end end of the 11th episode of SAO WoA pt.2 you would see "Kirito will be back" and "all storys end, but this one is not over" Dont know about this progressive anime, seems fishy but yeah, SAO is not over
THANK YOU FOR ADDRESSING HOW THE STORY ACTUALLY GOT STARTED. I've seen so many people complain about that initial Aincrad Arc saying it was the best arc but it was way too rushed and short. When they don't realize it was originally going to be a contest submission. Thank you for enlightening the ones that didn't know!
10:21 "And I really really hope they get this right, its time they treat sao like a shounen anime where you got the anime providing more material than the original source and I dont mean pointless filler for the hell of it" THIS IS THE QUOTE OF THE CENTURY THAT ALL ANIME, MANGA, AND LIGHT NOVEL CREATORS NEED TO FOLLOW!!! INSTEAD OF RUSHING THE ANIME'S YOU SHOULD BE ADDING MORE!!!!! A lot of people hate the ending of akame ga kill (including me) because its not the ending of the original source, but for them to go ahead and finish off the anime even though the manga wasn't finshed, the ending wasn't bad if we're being honest. It's just not canon to the books.
@@movieclipsvideos1781 If that's how you feel then that is fine. But, if you like a series, aren't you happy to see more content for it? Progressive is canon, after all. Besides, to me, milking is when non-canon content gets adaptations, or when they create something new without the assistance of the original author. So, to me, this is not the same.
@@user-ey8mj4tv2p I agree. I've read all three volumes of the next arc (Unital Ring) and they're just barely scratching the surface of the plot. It'll be a while but I'm excited to see what's going to come next. I'm happy they're at least working on Progressive now.

More Krisuna moments without 3rd party this will actually clear all the misunderstandings about kirito loving Alice Honestly how can people even think that!!

I am just hoping like yourself that they give sao the treatment it deserves, especially because we don't know what A1 pictures is planning for moon cradle and unital ring. So they actually have plenty of time to flesh out sao: p since unital ring is so early in the story. As for characters I want to see argo and kizmel. But it's also going to be nice to see more of laughing coffin since they are starting to become more and more prevalent in sao: p right now
I really want to see a little bit of what 14 year old kirito and 15 year old asuna were doing before logging in. Like 1 episode in the real world. I’d like to see him getting the nerve gear and asunas brother letting her use his. Also I’d like to see what asuna was doing right after logging in while Kirito was teaching Klein about sword skills.
Really liked this video, you did a great job discussing the history of the series and really giving a lot of context to how it became what it is today!
Moon cradle wont really be an arc, although it was made after Unital RIng it takes place just after alicization, so it might just be partof the progressive series (if there is one) unital ring will be the final arc though.
Hey Foxen, I know you said you were gonna watch this anime, so I’m just curious, what are your thoughts about the Oregairu series finale? I don’t expect a full on video, but just a couple of words. OreGairu is one of the best slice of lifes and fans like myself now have a huge empty spot in our hearts.
Foxen Anime thanks for the response. I understand that some people are very busy and couldn’t get to watch the final season week by week. I respect your grind. I think OreGairu season 3 will be worth it once you do get to watching it.
SAO has been a joy ride and at this point, I don't even know if it's just hated a lot or loved a lot, but all I know is that I just enjoyed it with a few parts where I was just, "what?" Can't wait for more SAO content though!
It's either you're one of the two. SAO is loved by many people especially in Japan where it's considered a pop culture phenomenon while most of the hate on the other hand comes from the western community _(the social media specifically)._ Personally though I haven't met a single person who said they hate SAO, most of the people I met/know personally either liked it or haven't watched it. And when I have the time to visit some conventions it's usually SAO who dominates the cosplay section. So ig even tho there are plenty of people who criticize the show online, there are more people who love and support it. As they say, some people are only brave behind their keyboards but in reality they don't have the guts to say it upfront.
Yeah, I get that, it's just it has been one hell of a ride and now we're in space, so that's something to look forward but really, I am hyped for this Progressive series since it's really a fleshed out SAO series we all were supposedly supposed to have from the start, but hey, Thanks for reminding me that Japan really is just okay with this kind of stuff and not those from the Western side finding it cringy or just outright weird and wrong.
@@senpaiplayz5394 Japan is just a lot more *open minded* about those stuffs compared to the west. Albeit I'm not really shocked since some westerners gets easily offended by something so small and will make a huge issue out of something so trivial.

If you actually watched the end end of the 11th episode of SAO WoA pt.2 you would see "Kirito will be back" and "all storys end, but this one is not over" anyways yeah its not over.
I was looking at it the wrong way. It does make sense how sao was written/animated. I was looking at it more as a floor or every 2 floor by floor anime you know? Like with time skips here and there. But in my opinion I loved SAO as it was. :)
I think Argo would be introduced in the earlier floors considering there was that small scene of her as an information broker when it came to that Santa Claus boss monster that held that item that could save an ally's life.
I feel that the plot of Sao really was not rushed but rather as you said not given enough content to fill in those gaps. I do love Sao as an anime and feel that the progressive anime will be really cool to fill in those gaps and even add to the og story people loved
With A-1Pictures eager to adapt SAO, I have faith that they will continue Fairy Tail as well. Hiro Mashima is currently working on a sequel to fairy tail, and as the SAO progressive anime was announced. I’m sure they plan to adapt the fairy tail 100yrs quest into an anime. After all, Fairy Tail is their longest running series, and the most recognizable next to SAO.
I would like to see wat happened on floor 9/10 and 25. Sugary Days, I think, hinted that what happened on floor 9/10 is partially a reason why the party of Kirito an Asuna brake up on floor 25, and the annimosity they have till floor 50. Sadly Reki isn't that far. Further I would like to see hoe they portray Morte en PoH and the start of LC.
To be honest I wanted to see more of what happened while they were in SAO, considering there were only about 15 episodes where they were actually in that world, compared to other worlds they were in it felt a bit short. I would read the manga but idk... either way I’d love to see more on the original story.
Since I played SAO Integral Factor up to floor 13 I gotta say Kirito and Asuna are always together lmao. I gotta love floor 5 and 6 story line kizmel best npc
Im honestly so glad about SAO progressive anime. I have a lot of friends who only like the aincrad "death game" Arc of SAO (and I cant say I blame them) but im the only one of them who enjoys the rest of the show too. I'm hoping that it gives the same feel as the death game arc while providing lots more to the story, I also really hope that the soundtrack is just as good or even better than season 1. I feel seasons 2, 3 and War of the Underworld soundtracks weren't too great...
Some of the sword skill system is explained in the "Caliber" and "Mother's Rosario" Arc in the novels. It is also expanded in progressive (spoiler fo SAOP vol.5 - for example kirito uses a one-handed long sword and a schmitar but he cannot use sword skills unless he unequips one of them, then after a while uses 2 one-handed swords and has the same restrictions) As for Kirito's "Dual Blades" unique skill, he gained It during January 2024 after defeating the 50th floor boss and also the last attack bonus being his iconic sword the Elucidator. In addition, Kayaba explained that the player with rhe fastest reaction time is rewarded the "dual blades" unique skill
Silica, Sinon (Neko crush), Yuuki they have to my all time favorite. But more Asuna would be great. And of course more SAO base games! Damn they are good and fun! I was hoping they add more to each story. And like Silica story was only one episode..and it was about a week they she was with Kirito. So so short. Longer stories please.. and epic animation please too. And yeah I know Yuuki gone of ever. Just like Tiese and the others.. from the Underworld.. sad.. more SAO games being them back to life! No one can have Sinon! She my Neko! Hehe.. cant wait for more SAO related videos!
I'm really looking forward to Progressive I just hope that Reki is able to speed up the books to get out more content. I'd be happy if we got enough out to finish everything with Kizmel as that seems like it would be at least a couple more novels and end at some kind of reasonable end point. Unless Reki is able to tap in more writers to pump out more content, maybe het in Keiichi Sigsawa to help out with the main series? He's already proved himself with the GGO alternative.
I bought the first novel recently excited to read it. The aincrad arc was my favorite arc by far and I always thought there was so much potential there. It's interesting to know the backstory now.
I've been hooked at the SAO Integral Factor mobile game, and the story goes floor by floor up until floor 35, you should try it, it gives more depth on the story we already know so far..
Really want to know where Kirito got his cool gear and how he leveled up and how Asuna got her gear and how she got into the knights of the bloodoath group.
Not gonna lie, I was one of the many who thought Progressive was gonna be season 1 through Asuna's perspective since I do own volume 1 of the manga, good to know it's more about the journey through the bottom floors
I am so excited to get some more Argo. She should have been used more after SAO ended too. I have always thought it was weird that Argo wasn't the one that told Kirito that Asuna was in ALO.
I know many people are expecting plenty of screentime between Kirito and Asuna, the problem is that we know already how they ended up being together and when it happened (episode 10), now SAO Progressive main focus is between ep2 and 3 of the very first season. So the only thing you should expect is lots of tsundere moments with a little bit of teases between them. Yes, there are cute moments of course but, by any means, do not expect a kiss. What you should expect is Argo, and I believe she is the main reason why the anime is focusing in progressive right now instead of asking Reki to rush Unital Ring LN. I havent read Unital Ring yet, but I know that Argo takes participation on it.
i've always been curious how the little details in SAO worked. like CRAFTING!. Liz and Agil both talk about it, Liz actually does a LITTLE of it in S1. then of course there's the 'side quests' and peculiar skills like the Fishing With the Old Guy episode after Kirito and Asuna get married and buy their cabin. or Asuna perfecting/maxing out her 'cooking skill'. i'm looking forwards to those little details. the kinds of things we got from Log Horizon... heh, speaking LH... Foxen? you thinking of covering LH S3 when it shows up Jan 2021?
@@FoxenAnime gotcha gotcha, just give it a few minutes of your time, i know how writing and producing videos has to be draining! ;) we all know how much fun the LH author had with his 'tax problems'. hhahah! ;) helping out an old fun show like LH get revived would be cool. ;) but keep it in mind for your 'Winter 2020-21 Must Watch List Video' :D
I mean we got a lot of those details in the light novels already, A-1 didn't deem it worthy of inclusion. I'm not confident we'll get that in a Progressive adaptation either.
SAO should eventually lead up to Accel world. I know they are the same but it would be cool if there was a correlation between kirito and that kid in accel world
a1 made a giant mistake adapting the aincrad arc in chronological order. the stories weren't directly linked to each other, and the episodic constraint of the anime forced even more cuts. i did read the whole thing (the WN too) before the anime was even announced, i enjoyed more or less how the anime came out, but it was also a big disappointment. thankfully the other seasons were leagues better. i'm happy progressive is getting a go, but i'm also eager to see unital ring even more (which so far is very good), i hope that once there's enough content, a1 will switch to UR, they can milk over progressive later.
I think they want to get progressive out of the way because even though LN 7 is confirmed, we don't know when that's going to come out or if it will be the last one and just go all the way to floor 10(guessing progressive ends there i don't actually know). Right now there is probably enough material for a solid well made 24 episode season spanning the 6 light novels that are out rn so they may as well get it done then make us wait 30 years for a s2 when there is enough material again. Also definitely agree with the Aincrad arc being poorly put together. Just a lot of, SILICA TIME: she gone now, LIZ TIME:she gone now, YUI TIME:she gone now
yeah i still love the OG SAO sure it has a few problems but i still enjoy it progressive might be good but still Sao got me into anime in the first place so it has a huge place in my adventure of anime
I will love to see kirito or asuna or both of them to fight the wolf boss that we saw in ordinal scale in floor 30 in think. Just because im a big fan of wolfs and that fight was cool in the movie. But I will love to see more kirito and asuna moments and more understanding why he likes being a solo wolf player and personality like me 😅; in his life before playing sao.
One thing I won't is More Story lines for SAO, I would love to see a Storys last more then 3 to 15 Years, for them going back and redoing it is a good thing because we can see more details and story lines for other Characters that had less story in them, 2nd is make a MMO game of SAO that looks really good, has everything in it like the Storys, and can have lots of players in it at the same time, and does not have to be VR, until we get the Real Deal. 3rd what if there was a game were you died (character) and you can't log back in until all the Floors (100) were cleared , It would be unfair but when all the floors get cleaner and then the game season would end, then it would restart, this way it would be far plus also fun and you have to think really smart on the next moves to make and being in a guild would help in the long run. plus when the next season starts and you live from the last one you can pick skills or equipment. what do you think?
I personally loved all sao even fairy dance and especially gun gale granted they wasn’t my favorites but I still heavily enjoyed sao it’s one of my top 5 animes and I hope they keep dropping anime content
Since I watched alicization first then watched sao season 1 2 and ordinal scale then watched wou season 2 I thought laughing coffin were gonna be a way bigger problem than they showed like in alicization they hyped up vassago as this guy they spent months and months chasing and tracking and he’s been killing countless ppl and they finally fight him face to face but nah they show him like twice in anicrad hope they show more of the LC in progressive
Fell in love with sao from the moment I first head of the concept of the show. For me I personally want it all drawn out. I hated the time jump really wanted to see the characters develop. Like one episode we first meet asuna and take down the first boss then the next time we see her she second in command of the top guild.

As a light novel reader, I hope they’ll do justice in adapting progressive. Also hope that someday they’ll adapt sugary days-well keeping it pg13 😅
I don't think there's enough content in Progressive, sadly. I'm happy to see more anime content for the series, though.
I think so there is lot of time to reach up to current part, so don't worry
There's enough content for 2 seasons with 24 episodes
@@keyzzzzz4700 it didn't retcon anything and it's canon so don't worry
i heard floor 2 is like fall themed
floor 3 is like snow themed
floor 4 forest themed
floor 5 desert themed
floor 6 is the place where kirito was planning to get the revive item from the event
floor 7 is swamp themed
floor 8 is like the one with the hill of memorys, but less flowery and sunny
floor 9 is a hellish themed floor
floor 10 is a huge abandoned town
the rest is unknown to me
Mothers Rosario is also my favorite arc of the series. Yuuki has had such an impact on the anime as a whole. Def love her character so much.
Mine still Progressive, when I read Progressive first time, my eyes were wide open about the real potential of SAO setting...
I feel something in the progressive is what is going to affect the rest of the storyline
it pretty much has already, sao Alicization builds on it. Vassago even referenced him failing to kill Kirito in an encounter in SAO Progressive
1:08 It seems like Progressive is taking some notes from Abridged. To the point that I find Progressive to be more entertaining than the actual SAO.
More Krisuna moments without 3rd party
this will actually clear all the misunderstandings about kirito loving Alice
Honestly how can people even think that!!
Dude Kirito has literally never reciprocated anybody's feelings after getting together with Asuna, Alice is literally no exception and I don't understand why people can't see that
@@danieleasuna6000 no, HE doesn't hug anybody. The girls hug him, he doesn't hug them back plus seriously? A hug makes people think he likes them? Sheesh he ain't like that
There's no 3rd party if Kirito didn't entertain the other girls
because all they care is their favorite char treatment 🤣
that's why they don't like other girls character
I no damn well Kirito has no romantic feeling for anyone but Asuna its just irritating to see girl make a move on him despite that
i just say it's good they're able to go back to the beginning and fill in extra details that were cut out. it should be really interesting to see when it comes out.
I wonder how many more SAO season and movie they will make, like I re watched the whole anime and its just so good I don’t want it to end ;(
Your explanations honestly helps me understand the anime better, and makes it more enjoyable for me.
The aincrad story is the strongest part of SAO. Baffles me they haven't covered it in more detail
Is strong if you’re anime only and thankfully the movies have been great
Sao going into the underworld is far richer now
Happy Birthday Asuna.🎉🎂🎊🤗
Cool one among the earliest. I can't wait for Sao progressive read some of the light novels and can't wait for the anime adaptation. Thanks foxen😉
I'm hoping for untinal ring and moon Cradle, as long with some more side stories into a anime
Moon cradle wont really be an arc, although it was made after Unital RIng it takes place just after alicization, so it might just be partof the progressive series (if there is one) unital ring will be the final arc though.
I want to say thank you. I have relied on your videos to help me fill in the gaps between episodes of SAO and you never disappoint. Thank you!
Hey Foxen, I know you said you were gonna watch this anime, so I’m just curious, what are your thoughts about the Oregairu series finale? I don’t expect a full on video, but just a couple of words. OreGairu is one of the best slice of lifes and fans like myself now have a huge empty spot in our hearts.
so humble. wow
been so behind, barely sleeping much lol
Im going to binge that later
Foxen Anime thanks for the response. I understand that some people are very busy and couldn’t get to watch the final season week by week. I respect your grind. I think OreGairu season 3 will be worth it once you do get to watching it.
I want to know how Asuna became known as the Asuna Lightning flash and became 2nd in command of the Knights of the blood oth
Me too, I want see her progress that time
I mean as long as there's more (or better) SAO content, I'm all for it 😊
Yayyyyy! Asuna will get more screentime!
That's true, and ain't gonna lie about that, but now it is just simply time to sit back and wait for SAO to return.
you're my favorite RUclipsr and thank you for uploading and explaining SAO
Needed this today after waking up this morning and realizing SAO was over
SAO is not over, theres another arc called SAO unital ring and that arc is hella sad, its (SPOILER ALERT) when all the games are converged into one. If you actually watched the end end of the 11th episode of SAO WoA pt.2 you would see "Kirito will be back" and "all storys end, but this one is not over"
anyways yeah its not over.
Oke bit we still gotta wait. So thats just as sad lol
Thank God the manga is not the one they will adapt as anime and btw where can i read the LN
over at BW ►► bit.ly/2tq7OUv
I feel that the plot of Sao really was not rushed but rather as you said not given enough content to fill in those gaps. I do love Sao as an anime and feel that the progressive anime will be really cool to fill in those gaps and even add to the og story people loved
With A-1Pictures eager to adapt SAO, I have faith that they will continue Fairy Tail as well. Hiro Mashima is currently working on a sequel to fairy tail, and as the SAO progressive anime was announced. I’m sure they plan to adapt the fairy tail 100yrs quest into an anime. After all, Fairy Tail is their longest running series, and the most recognizable next to SAO.
that other FT spinoff or w/e is being done by JC staff
I would like to see wat happened on floor 9/10 and 25. Sugary Days, I think, hinted that what happened on floor 9/10 is partially a reason why the party of Kirito an Asuna brake up on floor 25, and the annimosity they have till floor 50. Sadly Reki isn't that far. Further I would like to see hoe they portray Morte en PoH and the start of LC.
I want SAO progressive to be 1000+ episodes long with every detail and every floor. it's only anime I think I'll ever need. :D
Nothing like more of Argo to reinvigorate SAO.. Finally!
I really love your video sao episodes make more sense keep the good work.
To be honest I wanted to see more of what happened while they were in SAO, considering there were only about 15 episodes where they were actually in that world, compared to other worlds they were in it felt a bit short. I would read the manga but idk... either way I’d love to see more on the original story.
Season one's maybe rushed, but it's the best season for me. KiritoxAsuna moments ✨
Me too eventhough there is confusing about the floor but I love it
1:21 ummm...It even has “gulp” written...
Cant wait to see kizmel dropping in while kirito and asuna are having lovey dovey time
Since I played SAO Integral Factor up to floor 13 I gotta say Kirito and Asuna are always together lmao. I gotta love floor 5 and 6 story line kizmel best npc
It would be interesting extended stuff and point of view of characters like asuna
Mainly, I want to see a more detailed story, breaking down what happened in the first few floors.
I just found your videos and have been binge watching
SAO Alicization was good, but I didn’t like the next two Seasons after.
Me too.
1:18 alright so is that kirito and asuna doing it or its just kirito throwing glue
Argo was in the episode where Kirito fought the Christmas boss for the revival item.
I want to see floor 51 right after he gets his black sword. He would just be a bad ass or even when he finds out about dual blading.
I cant wait to see Asuna originally tho Kirito some weird guy XD
Dude literally loved your review and explanation. Well I do wanna see many episodes including the romance of Kirito and Asuna.
I love turning on foxen whenever I just wanna relax
I hope they expand more on the sword skill system and how Kirito gets the dual wielding ability
He picked it up because of being top player in the beta test
Some of the sword skill system is explained in the "Caliber" and "Mother's Rosario" Arc in the novels. It is also expanded in progressive (spoiler fo SAOP vol.5 - for example kirito uses a one-handed long sword and a schmitar but he cannot use sword skills unless he unequips one of them, then after a while uses 2 one-handed swords and has the same restrictions)
As for Kirito's "Dual Blades" unique skill, he gained It during January 2024 after defeating the 50th floor boss and also the last attack bonus being his iconic sword the Elucidator. In addition, Kayaba explained that the player with rhe fastest reaction time is rewarded the "dual blades" unique skill
When it begins, hopefully Kirito and Asuna relationship takes time to grow and some more male characters getting lots of screen time
Silica, Sinon (Neko crush), Yuuki they have to my all time favorite.
The SAO progressive light novels are so much better then the manga
Hey foxen awesome video when do you think progressive anime will be released
I hope the story will be told better now. A-1 pictures you have your mission complete it to the best of your ability
As you said, "its time to treat SAO like a shonen anime" it is time to break the 12- 24 episode rule for progressive imo.
But if they do that the animation may tank.
Im so happy that Argo is getting added to the anime. Shes on of my favourite characters
i've always been curious how the little details in SAO worked. like CRAFTING!.
Foxen? you thinking of covering LH S3 when it shows up Jan 2021?
def got no plans for it
I'lll be deep into AOT and Rezero stuff during that time
@@FoxenAnime gotcha gotcha, just give it a few minutes of your time, i know how writing and producing videos has to be draining!
;) we all know how much fun the LH author had with his 'tax problems'. hhahah! ;) helping out an old fun show like LH get revived would be cool. ;)
but keep it in mind for your 'Winter 2020-21 Must Watch List Video' :D
Just a lot of, SILICA TIME: she gone now, LIZ TIME:she gone now, YUI TIME:she gone now
1:21 that said the manga still has positive points
yeah i still love the OG SAO sure it has a few problems but i still enjoy it progressive might be good but still Sao got me into anime in the first place so it has a huge place in my adventure of anime
I will love to see kirito or asuna or both of them to fight the wolf boss that we saw in ordinal scale in floor 30 in think.
Just because im a big fan of wolfs and that fight was cool in the movie. But I will love to see more kirito and asuna moments and more understanding why he likes being a solo wolf player and personality like me 😅;
in his life before playing sao.
This makes me want to rewatch sao again
Video Title Alternative: *Klein Done Right?*
Since I watched alicization first then watched sao season 1 2 and ordinal scale then watched wou season 2 I thought laughing coffin were gonna be a way bigger problem than they showed like in alicization they hyped up vassago as this guy they spent months and months chasing and tracking and he’s been killing countless ppl and they finally fight him face to face but nah they show him like twice in anicrad hope they show more of the LC in progressive
keep up the good work foxen
Fell in love with sao from the moment I first head of the concept of the show. For me I personally want it all drawn out. I hated the time jump really wanted to see the characters develop. Like one episode we first meet asuna and take down the first boss then the next time we see her she second in command of the top guild.
