I really loved this video. Most people are too much on perfection. Here you make a mistake, and future you pops on to talk about it and you go on with it instead of just tossin it out. Great to see when people show they are not afraid to make a mistake and admit it. I didn't catch the mistake, but when ya went back and found it it did make sense. Awesome. You are definately a great solver in my opinion. Get well soon.

I feel that only showing when I do well causes unrealistic expectations. My goal is not to impress but to instruct, which hopefully I'm succeeding at!

(I love that the links to the other NY Times Sudokus are given! Thank you!)

The mistake happens around 3:03 by not marking 9 down as a candidate in the top right cell of the bottom middle box. It's fascinating to see how that doesn't become obvious until there are only 4 cells left to fill. I make this mistake all the time so it was refreshing to see it. Thanks, Rangsk!

15:29 This was more of a medium puzzle. Didn't have to find any hidden singles, doubles, pointing triples and such.
Just did the medium and found it more difficult than the hard...

11:05 for me today which after being totally stumped the last two days was a nice treat.

I can relate to this solve so much, thanks for the transparency!

31:03. It's funny how finding a particular hidden pair just opens everything up.

6:20 to solve. Unusually straightforward today.

Happens to me more often than I like to admit. When it does happen I scrub to the end of your solve and see how bad my situation is. Often I can salvage at least part of my solve and don't have to start all over. I don't actually use your values but just note where the discrepancies are, so I don't consider it cheating :)

It's good to have you back, even while preserving your voice. This was an easy one for me, mostly because I made it through without stumbling. I ended up with the same time as you -- a first for me.
I seem to have finally internalized at least some of your practices -- the pair in box 9 was easy for me to spot this time around.

This was the easiest NYT hard that I've done. Usually I struggle a little bit.

Have yet to find one that has broken past ten minutes... Closest was 9m46s, and that's after ten months.

2,3 in the 9th box was obvious. Box 1 row 3 was simple after box 2&3 row 3 were filled. Once those came, the rest were easy! You made mistakes at these two crucial junctures.
