Hey Frank great video! I had a question unrelated to the video. I was considering going to Australia for med school and wanted to know your opinion on going to med schools other than the UQ-Ochsner program. I can’t go to the UQ-Ochsner program since I’m not a US citizen.
I want to practice in the US but I like the safety of staying back and practicing in Australia in case I don’t match compared to other international med schools. Also do you think the content from the classes prepares you sufficiently for doing well on the Steps?

Oof, hard to say honestly since my only experience is with UQ-O, in general though any MD degree from a med school should get you the chance to take STEP 1 + 2 for US residency applications and Aussie schools are a good option.
As far as STEP content, I’d like to say that Aussie med schools would prep you enough, but the reality is that STEP is just its own beast, definitely need to study for it specifically. I’d prbl say the same thing even if someone was going to a US school. Hope that helps!
