    this is the best explanation of merge math that I've ever come across. I'm a visual learner and not so great at math, so this is immensely helpful to see what's under the hood with merge nodes. Thank you!!!!

    Thanks for that! Some of the most informative 34 minutes about Nuke I have spent! Thanks!!

    I wouldn't be opposed to you going over all the operations

    Thank you very much, Sir! Very useful stuff for someone just getting started :) You got a natural talent for teaching, I gotta say. Guess that comes from knowing what the frakk you're talking about. I'd love to see some more general workflow tutorials aswell as on specific nodes, if you find the time that is.

    I thank you for explaining it, but I'm super confused. I'm worse at math than you ever were. Side note you have a very comforting way of explaining things.

      What part specifically are you confused about?

    Thank you so much for the detailed explanation of Merge! Finally understood the math behind it and learned some cool tips and tricks!
    Question though: When using roto node to mask an area of a merged result, do you recommend connecting upstream result to B and roto node (connected to a same format constant) to A and setting mode to mask/stencil OR do you prefer directly plugging the roto node to the mask channel?
    Thanks a ton again!

    Thanks, helpful ! Could you please tell me what are the uses of the fields at the right of "A Channels" and "B Channels" which are by default on "rgba.alpha" ?

    I need to know how to change the layering order by using multiple inputs in all the channels A1 A2 A3 .. etc in the merge node ?

    • @SenecaVFX
      @SenecaVFX  7 лет назад +1

      +Ihab Abd ElRahiem I don't believe you can change the layer order. You would have to reconnect your inputs.
