Marking the asparagus crowns with the little flags is a great idea! When I lived in Germany the neighbors covered their asparagus with cardboard to cause the spears spears to turn white ,it was considered a delicacy…..they lifted the cardboard every few days to check.
While digging the quack grass and goldenrod rhizomes up I've hit a few white spears. This is an old bed and I don't want to lose it to weeds.
Awesome looking growth in your gardens. All your hard work paying off 🙂
Thanks!
Nice! 👍
Thanks!
Looks amazing!
Thanks!
I planted Borage one time, and now i have volunteers coming up every year.
They are nice to have around. They taste like cucumber. I like having fast growing annuals under my vegetables later in the season.
@@FastGardeningMichigan and the bees like the flowers which helps out a bunch too.
@@bmerwin9333 they sure do. One of my favorites besides radishes gone to flower to attract bees.
Awesome!
Thanks!
Look up Indian Runner Ducks. They don’t swim, or fly, and they love to eat weeds, slugs, and snails. Oh, and caterpillars. Many permies swear by them…. Cheers, Rov
Unfortunately I'd just be feeding the coyotes
Wish I have a farm like that...❤
With some cardboard and wood chips it's not hard! Even on a smaller scale a lot of stuff can be planted in a small space
