The best part about this is Larry Hagman telling Bill Daily to "Pull himself together" when Bill said he wanted to jump Barbara. LMAO. My lord, I miss this cast. Still love this series to this day. RIP Larry Hagman (Mjr Anthony Nelson) and Bill Daily (Mjr Roger Healey).
Larry hated being a part of this show at the time for whatever reason. I believe he was going thru a rough patch with his own demons, drinking between takes & so forth. As fans on the outside we tend to forget that these wonderful people are just actors afterall & battle life just like we do. In other words, it isn't all fantasy tho we get caught up in it. Nevertheless, Larry was great in the role regardless of how he felt about it. Barbara once said that no-one could replace him on the show & I think she's right. Bill Daily was also well cast as Larry's funny sidekick & it all worked. What U see on the screen as the final product is the main thing no matter what else is going on behind the scenes. WE don't get to see that, maybe just as well. I think Barbara held the show together & of course was the star. She is still a classy, lovely woman today & I still watch the show from time to time. It never grows old.
I heard one of his interviews later on (after this I think). He didn't mind the show for the first year or two, but apparently the script writers weren't being very imaginative. They had 4 template scripts and kept regurgitating them over and over, with only minor differences throughout the seasons. So Larry got frustrated and threatened to leave unless they came up with better stories. I guess they did because he stayed on until the end, and got a pay rise. Larry got on with the cast just fine, but didn't like the producer.
Irs always the case with humans that lacked foresight. Larry in hus prime age of 30 are doing cheap comedy show that leads to nowhere. Maybe he wants to do some thing Great..That maybe led him do drinking and smoking. Nevertheless maybe NOW how he can see that the show was a hit... Gis manner of speech and opinion have change by now.
As this event was 10 years ago, and maybe things are different at DragonCon now - and I'm really glad that DragonCon had this, and especially before Larry and Bill passed away - but, my lord, the interviewer, who says he's been doing this for 30 years, has absolutely no sense of showmanship!! You don't bring the star in first you bring her in last! And, as someone mentioned below, you put Bill at the end and Larry in the middle of them - it's just frickin' common sense AND respect, especially, in this case, for Barbara. And the interviewer seems to be completely clueless and has absolutely no idea that when Bill said the worst thing that's happened with the cast was what they were doing right now (lol) - and later he mentioned the lag in conversation - so funny that the interviewer doesn't realize that he is the one that's causing it! I hope after this that the organization got it together and figured out that they needed to have somebody a little bit more professional interviewing celebrities! That being said... It was great seeing the three together and hearing all the stories, and all their banter. I do appreciate the original poster having posted this so many years ago. (It's funny how this video was put up 10 years ago but the majority of comments are from the last year. Must be RUclips's changing algorithm! )
@4:26...the man had to stand DIRECTLY in fron of the camera and no where else. I wish Jeannie could have blinked him to the back of the auditorium...😆😅🤣.
I know may peopoe would hate me saying this but I always feel that Larry Hagman is so underrated and jeanie is overrated on the show. I see that he is the best comedy actor on the show by far. loved major nelson and major healey doing sily things to ewch ther. if i did that performance and were him, i would be mad, too, even if i did not take anything.
I'm baffled why Larry is there. He hated doing the show as his ego couldn't take Barbara s top billing. At the point of this video he had already become and icon as Jr on Dallas. I wonder if he was having financial difficulties.
In an interview late in his life Larry stated that younger people actually recognized him more for I Dream of Jeannie than Dallas because Jeannie has always been on in syndication for decades, and younger people were not really aware of Dallas or J.R.
Terrence Thompson 1 second ago Idream of Jeannie Rare Footage - Barbara Eden was not onlu Jeannie but a really nice and sweet and very talented actress and speaker - Here she is in a rare interview in 1982 - worth watching - Yeah Barbara (Jeanie) ruclips.net/video/rjyKS5XGIAU/видео.html Reply ·

Loved Bill on The Bob Newhart Show. Loved Larry on Dallas, and just loved Barbara.🌻
This actually made me cry! R.I.P Larry

I just discovered this show this year, they're such lovely people! rip larry and bill but I'm glad Barbara is still around
I can’t believe these times that were the best are slipping by us
😩
Bill Daly is a crack up! And so funny, and Larry Hagman was so funny on the show.
Yeah he was funny on Dallas too
That is so wonderful.

Certainly never showed. He didn't look sweaty, puffy or tired and his comedic timing was on point. Wild to hear that he wasn't always happy on set

I said the exact same, why was Barbara called out 1st and why wasn't Larry sitting beside her? That was unreal...
OMG IM LEGIT WATCHING THIS OVER HERE CLAPPING WHEN THEY WERE INTRODUCED OMGG 😍😁
Great team on the TV show
I love these. Three
Here we are "master"! Everytime we reconnect with our more than experience in beyond earth events majors and unpredictable genie. Stay safe everyone!
Me declaro enamoradisima de Larry... ñ.ñ
I mean this is wonderful
muito legal que esse trio ficaram amigos ate o fim pena que A Feiticiera n foi assim
Did Babs not want Larry sat beside her? Surely it would have made sense to have the 2 actual stars in the middle.
Bill daily was her co star too; love hero mr Healy
22:16 my favorite part
:'3 baio ... Pero solo queda bárbara eden ❤️
All very interesting but shoddily organised. I suspect it would have been so much better if the three guests could actually have heard the questions.
@4:26...the man had to stand DIRECTLY in fron of the camera and no where else. I wish Jeannie could have blinked him to the back of the auditorium...😆😅🤣.
This is wonderhero

Larry started to appreciate Jeannie in the last 20 or so years of his life.
In an interview late in his life Larry stated that younger people actually recognized him more for I Dream of Jeannie than Dallas because Jeannie has always been on in syndication for decades, and younger people were not really aware of Dallas or J.R.
I wonder why Hagman and Eden aren't sitting next to each other
barbara is so beautiful I guess she was 70s or 80s. at that time !!!!
Ya when God made Barbara Eden, he was showing off.
