- Tensions over Israel's war with the Hamas terrorist group intensified on the UT Austin campus Wednesday afternoon. At least 34 people were detained as troopers and police clashed with hundreds of pro-Palestinian protesters.

What made it an unlawful assembly? Did they block traffic? Did they block classes ? It is a public funded university. If this was a BLM protest would the same arrest occurred. Even if a protest is perceived as wrong or opposing view to others in the USA , it should be allowed on Public property as long as it doesn’t block or impede, and it remains peaceful.
Pretty sure there is nothing public about UT. Had they stayed off the campus it probably would have been fine
I just looked it up. It is public. But not the same as being on a public street or park.
Honestly, I’m not exactly certain what happened if they were protesting or assembling peacefully within the policies of the UT campus it probably would not have been an issue, but obviously something went wrong, which led to this happening?
