As a makeup lover and regular viewer of your tutorials, can I just say I love your no nonsense approach and cheeky sense of humour. Life's too short, eh? Keep up the good work, I honestly look forward to your vlogs, they cheer me up no end.
when i was younger my mom only used bourjois cause we live in a french country... now i use it their face powder is wonderful... i just want to thank you because you show us the best products.. God bless
Wayne, though the Chanel's are so impressive, I really enjoy the Bourjois blushes and powders. Exceptional colors, pretty packaging (the packaging is true to the product color), and I love the scent. Great prices and quality. Been using them forever! Thanks for all the great vids. I've learned so much.
Could not agree more. I have several Chanel blushes and also noticed that the Bourjois blushes are almost the same. They sell here for AUD $20 but Target had them on special at $5 each so I bought almost every colour :) Being a make-up artist that helps. Have a nice day
I love love love Bourjois blushers. The texture is good enough and they shimmer beautifully. They stay on the cheeks long enough. Price is okay as well.
I'd forgotten I used to have a Bourjois blush and it was wonderful, a subtle two tone effect, and a shimmer/ highlight effect that's not too much on mature skin! Thanks for the reminder !
Chanel and Bourjouis are atually made in the same factory and are basically almost the same products. Now, what u are paying when u are buying the Chanel products, is the more luxurious packaging the Brand,of course, and the luxury that it may offer to the woman who is buying a Chanel product. A lot of women cannot afford a chanel bag so they feel that by purchasing a chanel lipstick or blusher they are a part of the women who can afford expensive things. Thats what i know :)
I think your comparisons are so so helpful! Until I watched your videos, I never gave much thought to the quantities of products. :D You've saved me so so much money on products in the last six months. Thank you!!!
I was always skeptical of using bourjois... It just looked tacky and cheap when I saw it in the shops But if you say it's good I'll have to trust you!!
You are absolutely right!! I was an expensive brand product addict when the economical crisis started in my country (Greece) and they reduced my salary and couldn't afford buying only expensive brand products, so I discovered what u say, some drugstore products have the same texture and finish with the expensive ones and I dare say that sometimes the cheap are better than the expensive.
Thank you so much for this! I've been wanting a Chanel blush for a while now (the packaging is just lovely) but since I know Bourjois do a similar quality product for a much smaller price, I'd be far happier trying the Bourjois ones. It's way easier on my poor post-grad wallet!
I have tried both..personally, Chanel blush is not pigmented but it is buildable. The good ones are still from Nars, Jillstuart, Bare Minerals and MAC.
i really love that your so honest about products. has any of the companies ever tried to stop you from saying you didn't like a product? i was just curious.
As far as I'm aware baked products are just that.. baked! Rather than flat in the pan they're usually domed, can be used wet or dry and are longer lasting that your average powder products. I believe they are all shimmery/satin... I don't think you would get a baked matte anything but that's just to the best of my knowledge. I know the question was for Wayne but I hope that helped even a touch x
More of these kind of videos please! I never knew bourjois owned chanel. I've used bourjois blushes for a few years and I find they can seem poorly pigmented when you swatch them, but you can build the colour up on your cheeks. I use a flat dense brush to apply my blush and then blend it out with a fluffier one. This works well for applying the bourjois blushes.
I actually have the Bourjois Blusher and I'm very very pleased with it. Maybe the best I've had so far. I abandoned my old blusher for it haha. Smells powdery, lasts long and I have the absolutely gorgeous 74 Rose Ambre colour. Best with nude make up :) Keep shining, Wayne ;)
i cant afford either of these things or pretty much any make up you happen to mention in your videos but everyday i check for a new video and watch because i love you!!
I love watching your videos because they more often than not back up what I believe to be facts and I can use them as confimation haha! Thanks again for another lovely video, hope it gets sunny again soon!
I STILL haven’t tried Bourjois blushes!!! I really need to! You’re the best :) Thank your for reminding me that, at the end of the day, this is just makeup. Hope all is well with you! Xx
I liked the video honestly because I am middle class and I love make so much and I like it when you make videos about products that are not expensive and of a good quality .really thank you
Exactly! thanx Wayne for a detailed comparison! cheaper goods are not always worse...for sure i would never spent a huge amount of money to get ia similar makeup.
I own every single Bourjois blush and a lot of their other products because I think it's one of the best drug store brands out there! It's also awesome because they sell a wide range of products in Australia and they're not as over prices as some of the other make up brand available here
I have a Blanc Diaphane #90, sorry no ingredient on it. I only ever use it for the inner corner of my eye when I have finished applying all my makeup, I use it for my evening makeup only. It's a must have for me i feel it gives me that youthful look and just brightens my eyes and that a good thing at my age loll ... Thank you for sharing love all you tips and tricks, take care ...Margaret x
Thank you Wayne, lovely as always ! Can you please think about doing wedding make up, I'd love to see your take on what products to use and how to create a beautiful make up for a bride? Lots of love, you are simply gorgeous! xxxx
My city just started selling Bourjois products in the local pharmacies, and I was wondering about the quality of the product. I find that whenever I'm stressed about trying new brands/products, you're always around with the exact answers I'm looking for. So thank you!!! xo
I am no makeup guru but I know a good thing when I try it... I discovered Bourjois a couple of years ago - love at first application... I have bought many of their blushes, shadows, liners, pencils and mascara - wonderful and priced reasonable... I was so tired of being gouged by high-end companies by their "ok" products so this discovery was greatly welcomed by my pocketbook... Thanks for the review/info, very well done as always. Bises
I've had my make up done by a m.a.c artist who used to work for Chanel , she told me Chanel and Bourjois are the same product . I was quite skeptical so decided to ask a few of the ladies from the Chanel counter when buying my lipstick if this is true . All 3 giggly women said yes it pretty much was . My point is that when Chanel artists them selves are saying it to people , whether it be true or not word is going to spread quickly . I don't think the ingredients would be exactly the same but like i say when a Chanel employee is telling you it is , it's hard to believe otherwise . All very confusing
I foudn Bourjois dry too but I just apply it on top of my liquid foundation or moisturizer. I don't wear powder often so ... I know I know. You taught us that's a no no, always put powder on powder / cream on cream. But I found it worked better.
I love your videos and I love you! I can't tell you just how much you have taught this old dog some new tricks. I know I say it all the time. Thanks Wayne!!!!! :)
Hi Wayne! Thanks for the honest comparison! I love bourjois makeup though it's outrageously expensive here in Brazil (now imagine the Chanel ones!) You're adorable and I'd love to see you giving us lessons here. I guess you would enjoy our weather! : )
Wow! I'm happy to see this review because I got 7 Bourjois blushes and i love them because even before Bourjois blushes reminds me of Chanel blushes ;)
I have yet to try out Bourjois, since they don't seem to be available anywhere in the US, but this video makes me that much more excited to find it! xo
i could never afford a chanel blush, but i still watch your videos. now, even tough everyone is praising you for how to the point you are, i really wish you made longer videos:) have a good day, hugs from romania:P
I own a lot of bourjois make up and I'm very pleased with the quality it suits fair skin type and the 08 ombre a paupieres eyeshadow is AMAZING highlighter for fair skin :)))
I love the shimmer in my Bourjois Rose D'or blush! I used to use collection 2000 in Trouble, which was very good for the price, but a little too shimmery while not pigmented enough :/ but Bourjois is usually quite cheap, especially when it's on 3 for 2 in boots :)
This is very interesting to know, in Australia I pay $65 for Chanel blush, definitely trying Bourjois (only about $16). Thankyou, you're quickly become my favourite channel!
Thanks! I really enjoy your videos. You give the best advice on skin products and make-up. I didn't know Bourjors own Chanel. Be Bless, Quantte Hightower
...and that is great, because you are the only one doing that. ...making people question these big corporations. Everyday there are new companies in the beauty market and the offer is bigger and bigger and there will be a huge need of clear information, why cost that much? how safe the product is? does what says in the box? ecological issues and so many other questions. Great times of changing minds :)
Little fact: Bourjois were the first company to produce "baked" powders. Their eyeshadows have been made this way since 1863. #trailblazers
As a makeup lover and regular viewer of your tutorials, can I just say I love your no nonsense approach and cheeky sense of humour. Life's too short, eh? Keep up the good work, I honestly look forward to your vlogs, they cheer me up no end.
Completely agree! I have a few of the boujoise ones and they are so beautiful and pigmented.
when i was younger my mom only used bourjois cause we live in a french country... now i use it their face powder is wonderful... i just want to thank you because you show us the best products.. God bless

In my country Bourjois is actually quite expensive, but I still love Bourjois makeup. And I also have one blush and it is AMAZING!!!
What country is that as a matter of interest.?
@@paula6439 Romania :) L'oreal and Bourjois are quite expensive here, somewhere between other drugstore brands and high end makeup
Could not agree more. I have several Chanel blushes and also noticed that the Bourjois blushes are almost the same. They sell here for AUD $20 but Target had them on special at $5 each so I bought almost every colour :) Being a make-up artist that helps. Have a nice day
I have never heard of the other blush!
The Jous Contrast is my favourite blush ever. I always have it with me!
I love love love Bourjois blushers. The texture is good enough and they shimmer beautifully. They stay on the cheeks long enough. Price is okay as well.

Athina Pap completely agree. I've used both for many years and they are incredibly similar!
Athina M maybe if they don’t keep buying chanel lipsticks or blushes they could finally buy chanel bag
I think your comparisons are so so helpful! Until I watched your videos, I never gave much thought to the quantities of products. :D You've saved me so so much money on products in the last six months. Thank you!!!

i love bourjois! there healthy mix foundation is brilliant! and they actually made the first ever powder blush
I have tried both..personally, Chanel blush is not pigmented but it is buildable. The good ones are still from Nars, Jillstuart, Bare Minerals and MAC.
This is fantastic as always. Bourjois is awesome and I'm so angry they aren't in the states anymore. I have NO idea they owned Chanel. Thank you !
ive always loved borjois blushes!! there just pigmented and sheer enough!
i really love that your so honest about products. has any of the companies ever tried to stop you from saying you didn't like a product? i was just curious.

the last 30 seconds of the video were just adorable!
I always follow Wayne's mascara tip and it works fabulously on my short Asian lashes...stays curled all day!

Can you please right a book about the injustice in the cosmetic markets?! You should seriously consider it. You have enlightened me so much!
Xx

Great tips Wayne; used your tip to avoid mascara debris--worked like magic! Thanks!
You really suit purple, Wayne. You look wonderful! Thank you for this in depth review!
I've had my make up done by a m.a.c artist who used to work for Chanel , she told me Chanel and Bourjois are the same product . I foudn Bourjois dry too but I just apply it on top of my liquid foundation or moisturizer. I don't wear powder often so ... I know I know. You taught us that's a no no, always put powder on powder / cream on cream. But I found it worked better.

x
I own a lot of bourjois make up and I'm very pleased with the quality it suits fair skin type and the 08 ombre a paupieres eyeshadow is AMAZING highlighter for fair skin :)))
I'm in the US and I know it's hard to get a hold of Bourjois here, but I do love a good dupe!
it's great that we can find drugstore product which are as incredible as the high end ones! :) I would choose to buy a few Bourjois too :)
I bought a bourjois blush today and I LOVE it thanks for the advice :)
