If you like metal, you'll naturally like this one more, if you like rock more, you'll obviously prefer Tepper's version You liking it more doesn't mean it's better. Both artists are talented at their craft, even if I dont like bfmv much any more, this song still slaps for me, and I have the original in my library too because of this cover.

The original version has a more old rock/ old disco style to it which is still an amazing and original song. whichever version of this song played it will always be enjoyed.

I will always love the original by Robert Tepper but this one?! Man!! It's actually really good and i love it how they give it a lil boost so the speak.

I still love the original, and given its time it obviously suits Rocky IV better than this version would, but fuck me what a cover. Such a gem this version.

You were probably either a pissworm child or not even around when the original by Robert Tepper was released in '85..which was clearly the most epic of the two..this isn't bad for a cover, but it's nowhere near as great.
Personally, I do like this version better. Mostly because of the Presence that this cover has, I feel it really gives the song the feeling it is meant to have, though Robert Tepper does have the better vocals, by far. If this modern tone had Robert Tepper's vocals, this would be my favorite song ever (That is not to say that either version is not close, regardless).
