First of all, I'm much appreciated for all your works and contributions. They are really informative! I've a question from you as an expert. I think Inventor is the most userfriendly software in your opinion but I'd like to know your thoughts on capabilities and powerfullness in surfacing among CATIA, NX and Inventor. And how about soliding and drafting?

Hi, if you want to do surface modelling you have to use Catia v5/v6 or Siemens NX. Inventor has no proper tools to do surface-modelling. Regarding Drafting I would go for Catia and Inventor. Solidmodelling: Catia and NX.

Germany has a leading industry in the world. I remember one of your old comments that there is a big trend towards NX there, in Germany. Can I conclude that NX is better than CATIA?

No not necessarily. The reasons for Daimler to switch to NX were of a different nature. It is all about money/pricing and discounts.
