A couple of things 1 Notre Dame was the first full stadium whiteout 2 2021 Illinois game Sean Clifford was hurt and we didn't have a backup so he played the game hurt
7:48 PAUSE All jokes aside, a big thing that I wanna see on Saturday night is us start off hot. Offensively we gotta put up some points early. That’ll make it so that Illinois can’t just run the ball down our throat the whole game. And for whatever reason under James Franklin, we always seem to start off very slow on offense.
Everyone is an armchair offensive coordinator. Kotelnicki has an offensive game plan. He's really good at his job and has been spending a lot of time practicing, training, and prepping with this (very talented) offense. Andy's offenses don't just work in three dimensions, they work temporally meaning many plays (especially early on in the game) are meant to shape how the opposing defense reacts and schemes. This is the first time in a few years where we have an OC who knows how to prepare and plan. Trust in Andy.
@@jkay8itwhile it appears that PSU starts slow I think Coach K is running plays and formations that set up future plays. As the game progresses certain formations can run a variety of plays and Coach K then knows how the defense reacts and he exploits it. His strategy takes time to develop as the game progresses
Illini are 1 of only 2 teams that have 2 Top 25 wins so far, Tennessee being the other. Keep downplaying them based on who they've played? Kent State is arguably the absolute worst FB team in the country. PSU folks are very arrogant. You can pump up your team without downgrading your opponents. We were underdogs against Kansas, we were underdogs against Nebby and now we're underdogs versus PSU. Let's go out on the field and see how things work out. May the best team win.
Great show
Illinois had more energy at the end of the Nebraska game. With our depth that wouldn't happen with us.
Michigan specifically knew where to attack the stunt you say....

@@bobaz1I fully trust Andy, I’m not bashing the offense. We are wildly better on offense than last year. But we still start slow.
