Really glad that you joined the Casita family . My wife and I are from central Washington. We picked up ours like you did. But in 2022. We did the trip in late March of 22. So much your talking about brings back memories. Tip look for Casita gathering camping groups. On the Casita web you can find a calendar of outings. There you will meet many great folks and ideas. Hope to see you out there someday. I'm retiring in August of 24. So we are getting excited to hit some longer trips. Happy trailes.
Loving your channel. We take delivery of our Casita Liberty Deluxe in late July. Besides the standard water hoses and chock type necessities, what were the first accessories purchased to make Casita life cozier, easier or safer?
Hi! Congratulations 🎉 such a fun investment. I just posted a video and answered this very question 😀 my suggestion is protect your investment and buy a wheel lock and a quality lock for your hitch (coupler lock). And leveling blocks are everything!
Love your channel. We are subs - looking forward to your future. My wife and I are 2021 Casita SD owners and first time rvr’s. We are older tent campers. We, too, never even saw a Casita in real before purchase. Drove to Casita in Rice Tx from Ohio and experienced July 100+ degree Texas heat. Casita didn’t permit new owner walkthrough’s at the time because of Covid. So, we experienced learning by immersion beginning with our first drive from Casita… I can’t say enough for the Casita Forum, Gene - the web master, Eileen’s Casita book, those special member experts who are sooo kind and patient, and RUclips! We have come a long way since! Have fun. Enjoy the moment! 🙂
I found it useful!! Just picked up my 2002 16ft Casita, I think I’m in love with it. And I really appreciate the way you guys are accepting of normal human foibles - encourages me to be kinder to myself. And now I have to go see what full mattress you bought, ‘cause I need a new one.
Good video! I am looking at the independence and wonder if there is a space to actually sit down comfortably if a bugs are bad or raining. I see beds are pretty deep.
Hi! Thanks for the comment. We do have a seating area next to our bed. If we would have kept our Independence the way it is supposed to be used you will always have plenty of seating space on the 2 twins bed. It is a deep seat. We are tall so it works well for us. If it’s too deep for you try adding throw pillows to the back of the seat. Happy camping 😃
Hi guys Im Ole Drifter, I have a Casita Comfort model, I live in Florence Oregon, I like the Comfort because it has nice chairs to sit in if its raining i can sit inside and be very comfortable. I have not done a lot of camping in Oregon and am looking to camp this summer. I like watching your channel and finding new camp placeses.
Morning Guys.. Appreciate your folks video's as i am considering a Casita for the wife and I as I approached retirement. But for know, want to camp around my home state of Indiana.. In any case, thanks for the work you do, Happy Camping and God Bless... Hoobilly
We have a pretty heavy duty hitch lock and we also have a tire lock. If we are boondocking we typically won’t leave our trailer. But when in a campground and we leave it we always take precautions. 🤗
First time seeing you, really like how down to earth you are. In the past, I noticed plumbing from the toilet showing on the drivers side, is it still there?
WOW, exactly where are you camping? Not just the state/park but if a certain pad, please advise
Casita you tube videos cover almost all topics relating to ownership. Casita family is great. Welcome to the family
Hi! Thanks so much for watching! And thanks for the idea 😀

Hi! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch. 😃 happy camping.
TY!❤ QUESTION: How do you prevent your trailer from being stolen when you leave your vehicle?
We have a pretty heavy duty hitch lock and we also have a tire lock. If we are boondocking we typically won’t leave our trailer. But when in a campground and we leave it we always take precautions. 🤗
First time seeing you, really like how down to earth you are.
In the past, I noticed plumbing from the toilet showing on the drivers side, is it still there?
Hi! Thanks for your comment. Do you mean the black tank? That handle is located on the drivers side of the trailer 😊
Does it have the higher wheels/axle on it? What is its overall height with your setup?
VERY nice background choice. 💯💯
Thank you! It’s a beautiful area. I appreciate you watching ❤️
I question how many trips have you made in your first 6 months?
Hi, in our first 6 months we had at least 6- 7 trips under our belts.
