I’ve never tasted this but my Costco had it for $120 so I bought it. Hopefully it’s solid. Last year I scored a bottle of the blackened x Willet, rye for half off at $75 and think it’s one of my favorite bottles now. I’m curious if it holds up against it
Had a copper and cask rye finished in rum, sherry, and toasted barrels at 120 proof for 60$. It kills my midwinter act 11. Also seen masters keep sitting on the shelves at LJ and multiple other stores. No takers at that price
I just got the bottle in Jersey for $180 before tax. I opened it and it does not taste like it use to. I got a lot of spearmint or mint on mine. It was weird. Is there anything you can compare that is rye and fruit bomb that is not what I payed for?
It was OK at $99 when it was one of the only wine barrel finished ryes and they did not have so much of their own distillate in it. Now there are better port and sherry finished ryes at half the price. Both port finished and sherry finished Sagamore Spirit are better.
It might be better if I didn't have the most amazing bottle of Old Forester SBBS Rye sitting on my bar that I paid 90$ for. OF SBBS Rye kills everything I have put it up against. I have MWND Act 12 Scene 4, I'm gonna say its a 3 out of 5, pretty good. Agree with your comments.
I haven't had this one. I did see it for $129 in CT which was cheaper than last years so it sounds like the prices are regional. Shouldn't these taste like rye? It is finished rye whiskey. It's not bourbon. Usually they are a blend of 95/5 rye and 80/20 rye to malted rye. I don't think there is any corn in there so there is no way it won't be rye forward. Even with a wet port finish it's tough to hide the spice from a whiskey that is almost 100% rye
I said act 11 would be my my last and meant it. MWND used to be awesome now it is just another overhyped and overpriced whiskey Used to buy it every year but rather have so many better tasting finished ryes out there now.
Great point. It's without question, the most overpriced whiskey there is. Absolutely do not waste your money on any of these. Mediocre at best. Should be a 50 dollar whiskey.

Saw Act 12 Scene 4 yesterday and passed at $180. Act 11 Scene 12 was just okay. 🥃
Great review gents! I had a 2 oz sample of the ACT 11 and it was okay. Not worth the high price tag and will pass it up. Cheers!

Nailed it guys!
Passed today at 190. MWND is my favorite but that’s too much for me

I see them on shelves. People passing. They are kind of killing it
I'm with Pat. I like it but don't love it. I wouldn't pay the 150 tag either. CONGRATS on 5k.

Agree too many good bourbons to pay $150 for this
I should've mentioned great name though.
Saw for 149.99 today and passed
You'll never see it for less so I'm not sure if you are making a very good point here.
its a rye whiskey, why was that such a surprise?
You aren't drinking the correct ryes, my friend. Try Old Forester SBBS Rye, Sagamore 8 year, or Alberta Cask Strength. All game changers.
I said act 11 would be my
my last and meant it.

Sadly if you see them on the shelves The distillery already made its money and the liquor store is the one stuck.
Dude I know a store with 5 Screaming Titans just sitting there $79.99. Let me know.
180 +20% tax in WA. Bottle can piss rocks
I had Act 11 last year, and don't like it at all for $150
I can get all the rye spice I want for much less from many others for a third of the price. Easy pass for me
I saw this for $140 but didn’t get it.
So you won't ever buy it. OK great.
@@dmkelly5491That's the point. There are better port finished ryes for way less money.

Lol that's a little extreme
Given that WLW MSRP is less than MWND, yes I agree.
