The story of Elvis Presley is amazing. His twin brother was lost at birth and later he must have thought of him often. His brothers became those who he served with in the US Army in West Germany and others he performed with, and sisters, too. His ability to sing in a way that lead to meaning in his songs will never be forgotten.
What kind of drugs are you on, Paul James? Absolutely terrible. Elvis is rolling over in his grave. You don't "mix" ANYTHING with Elvis's music, you moron.
@@solrosenberg3803 omg they didn't mix anything !!! It's the same sound track + the orchestra. Priscilla know Elvis better than you and she said that he would have love it.
Elvis once said in an interview that he seldom did "Kentucky Rain," in concert because it's not an easy song to sing. I do know this -- one of my friends who's a guitarist and not a big Elvis fan said both "Kentucky Rain," and "Suspicious Minds," are masterful songs by Elvis, seldom heard by pop singers. I guess that's why he's called the King. This new version with the Royal Philharmonic is stunning. My thanks to the orchestra and Abbey Road Studios for doing justice to these relics -- renewed and polished for sure.
I've often wondered why so very few other pop singers have tried to make a recording of this song. Perhaps your guitarist friend is correct. Maybe no other singers thought they could come close to the Elvis version, and the new recording with the Royal Philharmonic would make that task even tougher.
Some of Elvis' music has been re-made by others. Generally though, I think it's in tribute to him. But I've always felt that some artist's music should be left alone and not re-made. Elvis' music is one such example. No other singer could ever come close to improving on the perfection that Elvis attained, so they tend to leave his music to stand on its own.
Ill bet Elvis was more concerned about remembering the lyrics. If you've seen the alternate Hawaii concert he makes a comment about forgetting the words to Burning Love, which he had recently recorded a year before. And as far as giving an effort in covering some of Elvis' vocal performances I go to singers.... Trisha Years old, "You've got to be really good to try and take on an Elvis vocal performance" TomJones, "Elvis made a song differs t simply by the way he sang it. He had an amazing emotional range," J.D.Summer, "The young Elvis was an amazing singer. He could hit a note, tie it up in a knot, turn around and smooth it out and then go on to another twist"....
