I would even like to see real wireless charging to charge with phones that have wireless power sharing. Anyway I’m looking forward for a smartwatch that looks like a classical watch. Tired of my Apple Watch that looks boring like a mini phone on the wrist.
Just had to buy new head for watch E3 - as unable to replace glass- new head was £1050 - suggested they TAG - would send upgrade E4 model head - it’s not the same watch ! Beware if you damage your watch face ! It’s going ti be expensive
I’ve been told the battery replacement is $200cdn and you have to send it to Tag, it’s not done at any points of sale. As of right now, with a brand new E4, after a full day of normal use my battery is around 60% at the end of the day. That’s without “always on” enabled. One other note, OLED screens are susceptible to burn in, I’ve heard a few instances online about that, so be aware of that and perhaps change the face every so often…
Also the E4 has the 4100+, not the 4100. The '+' has a coprocessor that offloads the fitness sensors I believe, it's why I went for the watch as my old 3100 would spank most of the battery on Google fit and would die by 5pm on some days

I’ve just realized that the Modular 2018 version of the Connected watch has more official Tag Carrera faces than the 2022 E4 version. Are you disappointed that your 2020 E3 doesn’t have the faces of the 2018 version? I received my watch on Monday so I’ve had a day or two to get over my initial disappointment lol.

I damaged the glass on my E3 connected watch - is everyone aware - TAG can’t replace the glass! You will need to buy a replacement head unit 😂 So - if your unlucky enough to damage the glass - it’s going to be expensive! 😂as from my own experience- it’s cheaper to source a new / watch - so very disappointing 😮

That's a tough one! For me, i would pay the extra 500 and get the E4 on a silicone strap.... unless you don't use it for any working out then the link get s more expensive on the E4. you have to remember that the E3 is over 2 years old and the software isn't getting any younger....

hey, that was basically my reason for buying so makes total sense. The Google Wear OS app works perfectly on IOS so you won't have any issues. What you should be considering is either the Apple Watch Ultra as it's a game changer for Apple or.... buy my mint condition E3 with box, papers etc for only £600 Thanks for watching 👍

I don't think so as the connected watch don't have a speaker. On the other hand, apple watch has a better fitness sensors. So if your going to use your apple watch as your daily fitness trakcer and tag connected just for notifications for work it should be fine.
What do you think about buying the E3 new now for £750? Is it a good price for its shelf life? not sure I can justify paying double for the new version which doesn't really seem like a massive upgrade to me.
It's a tricky one! Great watch doenthe price but you are looking at 1-2 years of software support then justnholing it lasts beyond that. Are there no deals on the E4 model?

Hi, thanks for watching. The E4 will comfortably last even the worst of golf rounds with enough juice in the tank for the rest of the day. In fairness to the E3, a software update has optimised battery life to easily last a bad round of golf now.
Did anyone find more comfortable straps to this watch? Even rubber one is kinda stiff. Maybe nylon? Also I’m curious if the quick change mechanism used in garmin watches works with Tag connected watch? Average dad do you know anyone with garmin watch to check this out? I mean if 22mm straps fit.
Hi. I have e3 and Garmin Fenix Gen 2, yes the original Garmin straps fits my e3 but the Tag straps doesn't fit the Garmin as Garmin's pin is thicker. I hope this helps....

Issue with that watch is the price.. My E3 was almost $3k 🇦🇺.. and now its sort of obsolete… I like luxury watches, but pricing of connected needs to come down…

Big Discount on the Golf Edition currently, I assume from that they will be announcing a E4 new one shortly…….just not sure it will be worth £7-800 more than the current £1450 E3 version
I don’t know if you’ve heard but the new E4 has a new AMOLED display compared to the E3’s OLED. The AMOLED display is brighter and can display 64,000 colors compared to 16 colors on the E3. The new 4100+ processor has a 64-bit architecture compared to the much older 32-bit in the E3, which will help it perform the new features of the Wear OS3. The 4100+ also includes Galileo GPS (not found on the E3) which is important for European owners. Finally, the new Wear OS 3 is only going to be implemented in the E4, not the E3. In fact, only smart watches from other brands with the new 4100+ will be getting Wear OS3. I hope this information helps. And, THANKS for your videos. They helped me in my decision to buy the E4. PS - The new Bluetooth 5.1 uses less energy than the 4.1 in the E3 and it has 3x the range of the E3 which should help with reliability of the heart rate monitor and other bluetooth-related features.
Hey, yes however, in real life there is barely a difference. I did mention in a recent video that the AOD and display is easier to read in direct sh light now. Both screens are great. 👆

Yes, the website states that E3 and E4 will get the upgrade..... bot sure when though.

I thought TAG had said the E3 will not have the wearos upgrade. Wearos 3 will only be deliver to watches with the new chip
