Why shouldn’t I call Champs Elysées Campos Eliseos? It is it’s Spanish name... I don’t see any problem about that. And Paseo de Gracia, may be a “poor” translation, but it is the way it is called in a lot of places.! What is important is communication and that people can understand what we are talking about. Most people wouldn’t even know how to pronounce Passeig de Gracia. And I can assure there is no other kind of hidden intention in the use of the name, as you may have thought when you made this comment!

Passeig de Gracia (not Passeig the Gracia as you say) is Catalan. Paseo de Gracia is Spanish. Both languages co exist here
