I can see that every tank in the game has painful grind experience.
some have more forgiving stock grinds. M46 is awful cause your stock round is AWFUL
As an m46 patton player, the stars have to align just right in order for the snail to bless you with power.
It's lierally better than M26 (love them both, patton wasn't such pain)
And maxed out both might be better than long 90 tanks

The jagdtiger was 100% a skill issue, could’ve ammo racked him.
This whole video was so painful to watch. Just chronic skill issue the entire time.
what made me mad was he didnt unlock aphe when he had enough rp it he just researched another useless modification , which makes me feel good that ik that im not the only brightest person😒

yeah and then he used heatfs instead of aphe. that should be the secondary shell. maybe he's trying to farm comments or he has a real skill issue

I usually go for Parts first, then i go for ammo. It really sucks when enemy gets your engine out, and you have to drive at around 5kmh unless teammates are competent enough to assist each other.
I skipped the entire first and second row aside from parts, FPE, and the APCR to get to the HEATFS and chicken coop. That somehow worked, as I've spaded my M46 rather quickly.

The aphe is the best round you should only use the heat-fs when you can't pen something from the front
185 mm pen is really bad at 7.0 cuz you cant even pen undertiered tanks from front and need to shoot mg port all the time, i would rather take the Heat-fs with 305 mm pen even when the post pen is worse
@@Mareczechboy Bro if you get in a good position with the patton you don't even need the heatfs at all, the aphe nukes everything from the side, I've done this countless of times and I get more kills this way than spamming heat shells at the enemy
but you wont have a good position always, its better to just use heat fs and know where to shoot

@@notkazerad564if you’re in a good position, you can do well in any tank. That doesn’t make the M46 a good vehicle, its just completely outmatched 95% of the time
@@battycheeseknobI don’t mean any disrespect when I say this, but if you think the M46 is bad it means that you’re not playing it correctly. I say that as a guy who had like a 0.6 k/d in it over a hundred+ matches the first time I played it years ago, but routinely get 2-3 kills almost every spawn with it (and the premium version) now.
The M46 is a complete shift in playstyles…like you said, any tank is good in a strong position. The thing is the M46 has great mobility for its BR so the way to play it is to be constantly in cover and shifting positions to hit the enemy from different directions or popping out to fire and then retreating. You don’t have the armor to rush guys with the German long 88 or Soviet 122mm so the idea is you never let them fire at you.
I use the M82 as my main shell to kill less-armored vehicles or make side shots on heavies. When I see the front of a tank that I want to engage or I’m getting swarmed by a lot of tanks and might get engaged unexpectedly I fire off the M82 and load HEATFS instead. It can disable the heaviest tanks in the BR range in one shot but isn’t great at one-shotting so that’s why the M82 is best for most situations you’ll find yourself in when you play the M46 correctly.
TL;DR: the M46 plays like a Bulldog or M18 but hits harder (can kill IS-4, Jagdtiger, IS-6 from the front) and actually has armor to protect it against autocannons and CAS.

The M46 becomes a great tank once you realize that M82 is your primary round and garbage HEAT-FS is a backup in case you need to overpressure an SPAA or penetrate something heavy frontally. If you find yourself in situations where you need the HEAT-FS regularly, you are playing it wrong.

yeah the M46 is a really good tank, this guy just has a severe skill issue (like in the first clip, he shot the jagdtiger and aimed at empty space instead of at the ammo the second time)

Did you try to do it in the Arcade? It is twice harder because no one will allow you to go to board. On this tank I unlocked spare parts for 5 battles, it was very painful...

when a piece of junk 1950-60 american tank have better design than modern german tanks...gun elevation is really important...most of nato tanks cant shoot their gun when rotating on engine side since the hull is higher on engine side...unlike most russian tanks which have hull the same height front or back...now with l2 pso is even worse since it also even higher...by the time you try to rotate your hull ...u are dead.

Just get good. M46 is one of the best tanks if you know how to use it.
Don't be an idiot, you want to learn m82 as your first upgrade, parts second and then go for engine, suspension. You don't need fire extinguisher unless you have movement and fire power upgrades done.
