I like how you picked up at the end, where he seemed to come back into himself, like he totally loses himself in the performance, it's why his music is so good
Einar titled this song “Prophecy of the Seeress” in English, in the official album credits. Like the previous track, it uses excerpts from Voluspá for lyrics, sung over a repetitive plucked string tune. The original Voluspá is the initial and most well known poem in “The Poetic Edda”, the modern name for a collection of poems in Old Norse, of which several versions exist. The song is titled such because Voluspá is a poem written from the perspective of a Völva, a recurring figure in Norse mythology. The Völvas were female shamans and seeresses in Norse religion, and here one is giving prophecy.
notice how when that dropped around 3:30 ish mark when he began to sing loudly and raspy and the choire joined in ?.. it's showing a scene where einar is the leader and gathering/rallying the other soldiers to start fighting ( you can see it in the scenes showing on the projector) like " one voice one goal" kind of thing..
Wonderful reaction to my most favorite group ever! The way Einar gets lost in his music is astounding I feel he literally transports himself to the time of our ancestors when he sings!
Everything you said is true. You can - in any way - not unfeel this vibe going on. It is a great co-op between Trevor and Einar. Also a fun fact: - Einar: Norwegian - Trevor: Canadian - Vocals & Orchestra: Polish - Tina Guo (cellist): Chinese Born American Who says music isn't uniting people? Here's the proof! And I bet a lot of people all over the world can connect to this masterpiece!
Magical. I love his use of traditional instruments too. This really connects to the ancient wee celtic part of my soul & conjures images in my mind. I think you're totally right H he is definitely connected to the earth; not sure if he's a druid, but he's certainly a wizard when it comes to composing & arranging magical, wonderful music. Loved it! Peace, love & happiness everyone as always x
Voluspá lyrics Hearing I ask from all the tribes Greater and lesser, the offspring of Heimdall; Father of the Slain, you wished me well to declare Living beings’ ancient stories, those I remember From furthest back Early in time Ymir made his settlement There was no sand nor sea nor cool waves; Earth was nowhere nor the sky above A void of yawning chaos, grass was there nowhere The sun turns black, land sinks into the sea The bright stars vanish from the sky; Steam rises up in the conflagration Hot flame plays high against heaven itself Brother will fight brother and be his slayer Sister’s sons will violate the kinship-bond The ancient tree groans and the giant gets loose Yggdrasill shudders, the tree standing upright Now Garm bays loudly before Gnipa-cave The fetter will break and the ravener run free Much wisdom she knows, I see further ahead To the mighty Doom of the Gods, of the Victory-gods She sees, coming up a second time Earth from the ocean, eternally green; The waterfalls plunge, an eagle soars above them Over the mountain hunting fish A hall she sees standing, fairer than the sun Thatched with gold, at Gimle; There the noble fighting-bands will dwell And enjoy the days of their lives in pleasure
I listen to 3 Wardruna albums and 2 or 3, I don't remember, Heilung albums, at least 5 days a week on house speakers. Real music makes you feel a certain feeling, if it doesn't then get that industry pushed bullshit outta my ears. I hear All-Father Odin every time I hear Einar. He's a gift, I'm glad I discovered Wardruna.

he sang himself to tears, thats dedication

Thank you for reacting! He is phenomenal. Their music hits me straight in the soul and brings me home.
Einar makes an appearance in vikings , wardruna are truly magical
That's from the show Vikings my favorite show ever, Einar Selvik his name did most of the music for the show and the video game assassions creed
I'm sure the main woman on the Cello in front is Tina Gao! I might be wrong, but she's epic all by herself

You're welcome
Those pictures in the background, they are from Vikings. The show some of us have been nagging you to watch :-)
Vikings is really a totally crappy depiction of Norse mythology and history, it's ok as a show but not for information.
Great reaction❤😄
in 5:37 clossing the eyes imagine and army marching f vikings ufffffff
I’m so glad someone else noticed: “He had to come back to earth. He wasn’t here anymore!”
Damn, I wasn’t here anymore either!
Now I’m ready to fight…
Voluspá lyrics
Hearing I ask from all the tribes
Greater and lesser, the offspring of Heimdall;
Father of the Slain, you wished me well to declare
Living beings’ ancient stories, those I remember
From furthest back
Early in time Ymir made his settlement
There was no sand nor sea nor cool waves;
Earth was nowhere nor the sky above
A void of yawning chaos, grass was there nowhere
The sun turns black, land sinks into the sea
The bright stars vanish from the sky;
Steam rises up in the conflagration
Hot flame plays high against heaven itself
Brother will fight brother and be his slayer
Sister’s sons will violate the kinship-bond
The ancient tree groans and the giant gets loose
Yggdrasill shudders, the tree standing upright
Now Garm bays loudly before Gnipa-cave
The fetter will break and the ravener run free
Much wisdom she knows, I see further ahead
To the mighty Doom of the Gods, of the
Victory-gods
She sees, coming up a second time
Earth from the ocean, eternally green;
The waterfalls plunge, an eagle soars above them
Over the mountain hunting fish
A hall she sees standing, fairer than the sun
Thatched with gold, at Gimle;
There the noble fighting-bands will dwell
And enjoy the days of their lives in pleasure

Shades of Carmina Burana run through this amazing piece. I like my music Raw... :)
Perhaps you would try out his "Wardruna" Isa or Gra
You’ve done q lot of Aurora. You need to do Helvegen, by Wardruna and Aurora
