I've found Stuffing works the best...No dehydrating involved.
Boil water, mix packaged gravy into boiled water, cover & let stand 5 minutes, add stuffing, cover & let stand another 5 minutes...Enjoy.
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for teaching this old dog a wonderful trick !
No problem 👍. Thanks for watching.
That's a great idea, Jason. Dehydrated meals are so expensive.
Definitely. One or two store bought ones aren't bad, but when you do 3 or 4 days' worth, it's just too much. Plus I'm a cheapskate lol.
@@JasonOutdoors 🤣🤣Same here.
Probably the best backpacking tips, tricks and food channel out there!
Dude👊. Thank you.. really appreciate that.
Superb video!
Thank you 🤗
I've been doing this for more years than I can count.
Well done awesome video thumbs up
So nice place stay connected 💐
Great video! 👊
Thank you thank you😊
Hi Jayson, Just subbed. I can testify that Monk really enjoyed this on the Foothills Trail. Looks like a great way to make Biscuits and Gravy for the trail.
I let him try some on Cumberland island so I'm pretty sure he was sold on it early on. Glad he liked it. Thanks for stopping by😊
Definitely need to invest in a dehydrator. They look great. Make sure you bring enough for everyone! Lol
It's definitely worth the investment. I'm probably going to have to bring extras to whatever meet up I go to next.. everyone wants to try it.
Thanks Jason. I’m going to give it a try. The cost of freeze dried meals has gotten ridiculous!
Nice Jason. Take care
You know I'm watching this! Looks delicious man!
The gravy mix makes all the difference. I've tried a couple that made it not so delicious.
Yeah buddy! This one is on my list!
Right on👊
I like this idea. I dont suppose I ever considered doing this myself before you mentioned it on CI.
It's worth trying if you have a dehydrator. If not I'll have to bring you some next time we meet up.
Awesome! Definitely on my menu for upcoming backpacking trips to the Sierras!
Cool 😎 glad this was useful for you.
Thank you very much for sharing this wonderful and unique video, and I wish you success and lasting success. Greetings, Mohamed Sultan from Egypt 👍👍
That's awesome, Jason! I'm going to do it!
Sweet👍. Hope you like it.
Easy and delicious...you made me hungry on ci when I saw you eat this so I made some from scratch when we got home
I'm glad it looked good enough to try yourself. Very ambitious making from scratch. I'm to lazy for that lol 😆
The recipe was very helpful
*Testy and Beautiful look really with good Tips 🌹🌹*
Love this video. I have been thinking about doing this. Great video. Thanks for the links as well.
Thank you. 😊. Appreciate it.
It’s awesome Jason!!! I tried your recipe on the Foothills Trail hike. It’s great (and I’m a biscuits & gravy snob). Thanks for sharing!!!
Awesome. I was really hoping it worked out for you.
Check out Beyond Gravy! They have the best biscuits and gravy I’ve ever had! One biscuits and gravy snob to another!
haha nice cooking video
Thanks 😊
My husband and I were just talking about how we should dehydrate biscuits and gravy for him to take elk hunting. I found your video right after…..thank you for this! We are going to make these right away. You’ve got a new subscriber! Feel free to check out his channel FLATLANDER - he posts lost of hunting videos and video tips like yours.
Awesome 👍 glad this helped. I'll head over and check out his channel.
Great video! I have started dehydrating some stuff too but where i am diabetic i am trying to make some diabetic friendly ones. Thanks for sharing this!
Thank you. Hopefully by making your own it makes things easier.
@@JasonOutdoors so far so good. I have only done 3 meal recipes but they have turned out tasty.
Solid demonstration 👍 I feel like I could actually pull this one off after watching that! Appreciated you gave the calories... Did you get a weight on one of those bad boys?
You got me lol...I missed something. Mine are right around 5oz each sealed in the Mylar bag. If you try let me know how it goes.
@@JasonOutdoors I was just genuinely curious... Inquiring minds want to know! 😂 Thanks for the info, and will do!
Looks delicious! Took no time in the oven 😂
Ha ha.. the power of editing 🤣
Nice! Will have to try this out when I get a dehydrator! Do you ever try to add sausage? How long does it take to dehydrate?
No didn't try sausage. Too lazy lol. Pretty sure it was 4 hours in the dehydrator
Jason, do you ever add dehydrated Sausage to this?
I'm So happy you put out this how to video! I was intrigued when I saw you eating this in your hike video.
I've thought about it but haven't taken the time to experiment with it.
Came to ask the same question when I do this I usually make a whole pan dehydrate all of it then bag it. But this. Is like genius. Definitely doing this from now on with my homemade biscuits. Nobody realizes this would be good for 3-4 years if stored right possibly longer.
That looks good. What kind of biscuits you use? I have never seen anything like it! 😁 All the best! Kaat
Thanks, they were just the store bought biscuits in a can. So much easier than making from scratch lol.
@@JasonOutdoors that's true! 😁
Mmm
Great Jason. What the name of your dehydrator?
Thanks John. I got it from Amazon. The brand is Magic Mill.
How long do you dehydrate your biscuits for?
I think it was around 4 hours.
Can i dehydrate a gravy I’ve already made from scratch @ home? Im new to dehydrating! Ty
@sunshinegypsea yes. As long as you don't have any grease or oils you'll be fine.
Bacon bits !
as a Frenchman i find this very offensive.
lol
