Thank you for sharing. I have no academic training and I find this video extremely helpful. I also appreciate the way you present your content in such a clear and relatable manner.
This video made me chuckle because there's so much that I can relate to. :) I often forget to consider those questions because, as you said, "I just want to write!" But the 3 points you mention are really helpful and important to keep arcs and pacing moving. I'm mostly commenting to help you in the algorithm. Another great video, Megan.
Great content. I could certainly relate to the 'I'll come back and fix this later' line. I too am trying hard to confront this problem in the moment rather than opting to defer. It's critical to work those bits out: they are hard for a reason. And 'deferring' the problem will often lead to critical foundational problems for the book.
YES! Oh man, I learned that lesson the hard way. Big, big mistake. You're so right. Face it early on. You'll save yourself major headaches, and the book will be infinitely better.
Hi Megan. Watched it in a hurry & immediately saved it for future reference. This is definitely a goldmine & something i relate to. Thank you. Just one thing I wish to ask. Why did U say that you can't talk, in this video? U got overwhelmed? Ahh its ok. I also get emotional while talking about writing & reading.
Another very helpful video. I am exactly in that place of movie like scenes and random bits all over the place. I am naturally inclined to outlining and I'm still learning all the aspects to consider for good story telling, beyond what I've picked up from rwading great stories over the years. Would love an example of the spreadsheet thst connects the outlining and plotting to the writing. I have many ways tonhave conflict and stakes increasing for my novel(s) I have ideas for. Internal snd external. I just hope I can translate all this into an actual story 😂
Thank you for watching "How to write a chapter of a novel || How I use a spreadsheet for my scene list for outlining a novel!"

Thank you so much! I'm so glad to hear that. We're all on a journey, and the learning never stops. :-)
