Thanks for another awesome review. I feel the Air 3 Deluxe HS are more mature when it comes to sound, mic quality, and features like in ear detection and IP rating. The Air4 do pump out more bass and get louder overall but I feel the HS had better tonality overall. I also found the Air 4 has a bit of a noise floor issue too, I'm guessing the noise reduction circuitry at work. My 2 cents worth.

I purchased the Soundcore P40i yesterday and can tell straight away this is for the BASSHEADS! :D I had previously purchased a DOA pair of P3i's and also tried the soundPEATS Air4 Lite's which were lacking the bass I was looking for. I think the P40i's are the sweet spot - I was also considering the soundPEATS Air4 Pro's.

Thanks for the review, Brannon! I'm really glad to see some semi-open earphones on here, as I really don't like the feel of silicone tips.
Would you recommend these over the Air 3 Deluxe? Also, can these be used independently?

    Hi Brannon,
Okay. I have been using TrueAir 2 for many years and I like the sound profile of TrueAir 2. So, is it worth to upgrade to Air4 in term of sound profile / quality? Note that I'm a Bass person! Thanks.

Man, are you aware that it is useless to use the Air4 on an iPhone ??? iOS doesn't support aptX codecs ... it only supports AAC and SBC so you are not taking advantage of the full potential of these earbuds.
Try 'em on a Pixel or a Galaxy S series !

Seems to me like they're competing with themselves and losing, lol.
Why do I say that? Well... As you said; they come out with new models frequently. Why? You would think it's because they're making desired changes.
Desired changes = fast charge, longer cable, stronger magnet, battery power, wireless charging, weather proofing, crystal clear calls...
I'm impressed with the sound, but not the mic test. 6 mics? Underperformed. 5.3 - great. Look - great! Lightweight - great. App - good.
I love a good deal; I'm disabled with no income, and this certainly is that. No way is this worth $80 and they knew it, but I don't understand putting out products minus the things that make me want to pay $80.
I would much rather pay $80 or $100+ for a pair that...
    A. Sounds great on calls with or without noise.
    B. Battery life for all day users without worry.
    C. Comfort without ear fatigue. How do these feel after 3 hours or 6 hours without taking them out?
    D. Every pair should have fast & wireless qi charging. It's 2023, this isn't new tech.
    E. The wire they give you is so short; it's all but useless. Give us a 3 footer or just the above options. Throwing in a pathetically short cord is the equivalent of having a space for gel tips and not having them, lol.
    F. Of course music is important. No one wants muddy bass or highs so sharp you can't avoid but make a face like you're sucking on a lemon.
    G. 5.3 Bluetooth, transparency and noise cancelling are musts.
    H. I'm not buying any pair without an app. I don't need a fancy app, but I need a good manual EQ, manual controls and as this pair has, the ability to connect to two devices. Additionally, I need to be able to just use one ear bud when it's convenient.
These are all things I think should be standard in this day and age. No company is incapable of doing it. And I'm not describing $300 earbuds, maybe $100? $130? I'd pay that for all the above. Assuming ipx 4.
If you want to go above and beyond? Great! Impress me, but whatever you add must be on top of everything else I mentioned first.
Stop fiddling around with negligible changes and/or adding something new and cool, but taking away other mandatory things.
I keep waiting for that perfect pair; I know it's never going to happen, but my point is... It's almost September in the year 2023, and there's just no excuse not to have what I'm looking for by now.
And I fully understand that the majority of companies need to have sets available at varying price points. I just find that even in the higher end models, they're lacking. Force me to buy it, give me something I can't say no to or something I'm not on the fence about because of price or this or that.
Wouldn't it be great to just list specs and have a custom made pair? Nothing needs to be perfect, perfection is an illusion. I don't need 10 pairs of earbuds, I need one good one. It just irks me when companies (any company) half asses things just to put out product.
I don't have Apple, but how many variations of airpods have come out in the last decade compared to the multitude of Android ear buds? I just want one company to make a pair worth selling for next three years without needing to upgrade.
Until then, I'm patient. Disappointed, but patient. Rockstar review though (as always). 😎👍

@@whereweregoingwedontneedey4374 I've looked at higher end ones. I don't mind paying up, but I also don't want to pay up if I'm not getting the majority of what I want. (Or we want).
And when you compare how often Apple airpods come out with new ones vs ALL of Android ear buds (not just say Samsung or any brand for that matter) it's overwhelming. No one stands above the rest. Yes, (in certain areas) but not as a whole.
Whether I pay $50 or $150 I want something that has what I deem necessary as well as future proofed for a few years. For example. There's no reason to make a pair now with Bluetooth 5.2 or without decent materials to last a few years.
They want you to upgrade every year, I just don't buy into that way of thinking. You don't buy a new TV every year or a new house or a new refrigerator... and there's no reason not to have those things in an ear bud (other than being cheap / greedy). That's just a turn off to me.
Some company will come close enough soon, I believe that, then I'll open my wallet.

@brannon Alright, full disclosure. I've watched a lot of your reviews and I've always been 50/50 with you. I was really interested in these new Soundpeats, found your vid and watched it. Caught the end with the 20 dollar voucher and the code, thought, fudge it, lemme trust you this once. I got the earphones for $30 off and had them next day'd from Amazon (your link). Holy shit, talk about floored. These are amazing. And you were right, ANC on with a slight tweak of the equalizer and they are perfect. The sound is full and rich with decent seperation. Great fit, hardly feel them in my ear. Absoulte gems, for the price of course. Ohh and multipoint with LDAC. Thank you, I'm glad I trusted you.
