Christmas markets at Old Town Square 2023 take place daily from December 2, 2023 to January 6, 2024. Known as the liveliest and liveliest of all Prague markets, the Old Town Square Market hosts special Christmas events, as well as live performances, carol concerts and dance performances, and a wonderful festive atmosphere. Children will enjoy creative master classes, a mini-zoo, and celebrations of St. Nicholas Day and New Year.
The Christmas market offers a variety of exciting food items, handmade gifts and the most delicious warming drinks such as hot chocolate or spiced mulled wine, as well as great gift ideas including decorations, toys, jewellery, winter clothing and accessories. The Christmas merchandise stands are open daily from 10:00 to 22:00, and the refreshment stands are open from 10:00 to 12:00.
Every year, the organizers of Christmas markets in the capital announce a real competition throughout the country with the goal of finding the most beautiful spruce to decorate the main Prague square. The winner receives a prize of 10,000 crowns for his tall beauty, and the spruce itself is erected with honors on Staromak.
More than 8 kilometers of glowing garlands, 342 balls and 50 stars were used to decorate the Christmas tree.
Spruce 27 meters high. His age is 56 years old.
