Spot-on BB and an awesome post!!! Just sharing my views: I would recommend Medical Class 1. No surprises or rather shocks if one has issues when taking class 1 midway through as it is a very costly affair. Class 2 is just OK for folks who fly for hobby or maybe a P2 for certain higher type ratings but not for CPL and up, flying as a PIC, and career oriented. Please refer to rules. Secondly, no one talks about Insurance. Regular insurance does not cover Aviation. Please plan these on your must-have checklist even before your first training flight. All the Best, God bless!!!
@@48baditipanigrahi77 Yes of course, you can start your Pilot Training journey after your graduation. I personally recommend and emphasize Graduation first because the Pilot job market is sort of a gamble and time can only say when one can get a job or sustain in a job. Graduation comes handy and you don't miss out on time and alternate career path (just in case). Just a forethought - It's highly recommended to continue with academics even AFTER you takeoff with a flying career. There are many avenues you can specialize, example: Meteorology which will complement your Pilot's career. Best Wishes!!! Vindy

Hi! Thank you for this video, it is very informative. Is this eligibility criteria for comericial pilot....if so is it okay even for a someone who is 5'1 to become a pilot?
If we take training from a flying club that is not so famous and is approved by dgca but it is not around the big cities like Mumbai and Delhi and others like these will it cause problems in the future of the pilot ? Like it will be said that you are trained from a small city like that. Will there be any problem like this?
thank you sir ... this is an amazing video which cleared most of my doubts... can u make a video on whether studying in Abroad is cheaper or in India????
There are some flying schools which provide ground classes as well. So should we clear DGCA exams from there or should we clear them seperately from an institution?
Sir, If i give dgca exams this year and after 5 years i come back to India with good experience in airlines of usa. Will my all exams valid till 5 years??? Or coming after 5 years i have to give all 5 exams again??
Sir can you please make a video on why people say you should not become a pilot like close family members as its a tourable job and all, so can you please tell is it really so hard to live a life as a pilot as in personal life related to family and specially for girls????
They are medical examinations that must be passed in order to enter flight training. This examination includes following tests: heart (ECG test), blood pressure, lung function (spirometry test), limbs and reflexes, BMI (body mass index), chest x-ray, blood test, urine test, hearing test, vision test, color vision test.
Hi sir iam getting little bit worried because now a day airline is asking typrated pilot only not fresh if they ask for fresh then fees for every thing is 50 to 75 I mean do hard work and get cpl wait for 1 to 5 month then we know that they need typrated pilot or pay 75 L What you think about it sir i think in 2003 or before 2013 it was grate for fresh pilot or same situation i know aviation will boost but they need typrated pilot if i or anyone do typrating on a320 or 737NG but vacancies come for 747 then. every day i think i will become a pilot. can you please clarfiy on the number of hours of flying before you can become a pilot for an airiline. i am reading conflicting reports - usa says 1500 hours for even a co pilot but UK and India seem to require only 200 hours for becoming a copilot and 1500 for a captain.
You can apply for a job for an airline when you have the required flight hours (200 h) and a commercial pilot license (CPL). The requirement is different in the US because they have the 1500 flight hour rule for airline pilots. To become a captain you need to have an ATPL (Airline Transport PIlot License). And you can apply for an ATPL after you have achieved 1500 flight hours, but usually airlines require more than 1500 flight hours before you can receive a captain's position. Depending on the airline the requirement can be at least 3000-3500 flight hours before you can become a captain.

I have few questions. 1. Assume, I want to do my exams in USA and wont be returning to India and wont be converting my FAA cpl license to DGCA Cpl. Is it possible to give my theoretical and practical exams in US starting from zero. 2. Or before going to flight schools in the US, do I need to finish dgca and then apply for abroad 3. Or can I directly apply to a flight school in abroad without finishing my dgca exams and fly for required hours to get my cpl.
1. Yes, you can start from zero and give all the exams in the USA if you are not going to convert your FAA license to DGCA license. 2. You don't need to complete DGCA exams before going to USA if you are not going to convert your FAA license. 3. You can apply for a flight school abroad without completing the DGCA exams if you are not going to convert your foreign pilot license. And you can get the required flight hours abroad to get your CPL. (Only if you want to convert your foreign CPL to a DGCA CPL, then you need to complete the DGCA exams.)
Sir will it be a problem in becoming a pilot if I've got a beard and I can't trim or shave it? Will ground schools and airlines mind that? Is that against any rules? Please reply as soon as possible, Thank you.
