This was summer in Arizona so I also bathed in the water fountain.
The first ad is full of red flags that anyone should have been able to notice. 1. Why would they prefer a caretaker to be single? That has no effect on your ability to do the job, and a vast majority of people in relationships have no problem doing their jobs competently. 2. Why would the interview for a southwest Ohio farm job take place 2+ hours away in northeast Ohio? Surely if they were serious they’d want to show you around the farm you’d be working at. 3. If it’s a farm, why is it also a hunting preserve? Seems counterintuitive if you want to keep animals alive and safe (until slaughter that is…). I’m not trying to victim blame at all, but come on. We need to teach internet literacy to people so it isn’t this easy to be scammed and potentially killed.

I've heard of this case before, and always think the same thought, which is how sad that people who just wanted a fresh start were victimized. Aside from that, I very much like the narration voice and style here. At this point I don't believe it's AI, seems too good for that as so far I have not picked up any weird pronunciations, which are a turn-off. I've run across a couple of other channels where AI pronounces addresses and so on very oddly/artificially and I immediately turn those off and don't subscribe. I just subscribed to this channel, so well done overall.

The body dump location ad seemed totally sarcastic. I think it was meant to illustrate how lax the laws were concerning dead bodies and to promote beefing up those laws.
There was once a time when people were treated like adults and didn’t need some agent of the state to confirm the death of a family member. Family burial plots were on your own land. Now everyone is so afraid of the boogey man they’re willing to lose all their freedoms in the name of a false sense of security.
@@joebeezy9471 true and they'll rob you for the privilege but on the other hand foul play gets alot easier faking death to get away with debt among other things
@@joebeezy9471 I agree with you that people should have the right to bury their loved ones on their own property (family burial plots) instead of in some random cemetery next to strangers where their loved ones have to go out of their way to visit their graves. However, I feel like it’s hard to argue against requiring some form of state-backed death confirmation to ensure the cause of death was natural/accidental and not due to foul play. I wonder how many murders went unpunished “back in the day” due to a lack of COD confirmations prior to the body being buried on someone’s property and any inquiries being met with false claims of death by accidental/natural means. I’m sure there were a lot of victims who never received their due justice as a result
You're forgetting that most people aren't landowners anymore. Almost all of it's been snapped up by banks and the government. You're not going to exhume your loved one every time you need to move houses, and visiting their residential resting places to pay respects would be considered trespassing.
I could watch these type of videos for hours, the narration is so calming and relaxing in a way, brings back memories that got me into horror, true crime documentaries and stories cant go a halloween without them🙌

I got so many legit jobs through Craigslist but I also saw so many job openings that were probably serial killers fishing for victims. Good thing I never replied to those "too good to be true" posts.
the only problem with the snapchat/tinder/instagram stories to me is that they are all kind of the same and most of them are fake or cannot be conclusively established to be true or have ever really happened because they either cannot be found any articles of on the internet or they came from a creepypsta subreddit
@@JohnGardnerAlhadis yeah I agree. And as the other person said above they tend to be so repetitive. In the UK I think you have 30 days to report a death. Failing to report the death is illegal, even if the death was non-suspicious. @toyboxskits1341 sure but it still sounds funny and contradictory af that they were out to rob people of their precious belongings so they decided they best target homeless people
I was homeless for 3 months. I hid a full desktop computer in a cart of clothes.

To be fair, the body dumping one isnt so bad when you consider how much a funeral can cost, like its insane...But obviously it's sketchy, both on his part and for tax/social security reasons.
I believe in several states you can bury your loved ones on your backyard. Casket or "green burial". Which is a great option to have. You don't have to go to a cemetery to visit their grave and it'll be very affordable 🤷🏻♀️
@@catalinat4721Those must be the Bible belt states. I do think we should be allowed to dispose of our own families bodies with the proper permits of course. Funerals are grossly expensive.

how can someone hit it so spot on, been binging this guy since guess when 4AM!!

I think it was meant to illustrate how lax the laws were concerning dead bodies and to promote beefing up those laws.
ikr "you a person finding yourself burdened with the awkward inconvenience of having to dispose of a body "
You're not going to exhume your loved one every time you need to move houses, and visiting their residential resting places to pay respects would be considered trespassing.

the only problem with the snapchat/tinder/instagram stories to me is that they are all kind of the same and most of them are fake or cannot be conclusively established to be true or have ever really happened because they either cannot be found any articles of on the internet or they came from a creepypsta subreddit

Craigslist videos are some of the best ones. In the UK I think you have 30 days to report a death. Failing to report the death is illegal, even if the death was non-suspicious.
Very recently I heard of a case in Birmingham UK where someone's housemate ("roommate" for Americans) died of natural causes, but the surviving housemate kept the body in a freezer and continued to claim his welfare benefits.

It's 2024 - anyone who still even goes to Craigslist for anything more than a dirty hookup, to be murdered, or both, is maybe possible but most definitely insane.
Dumping a body should be illegal, but privately owned burial properties should not be. We have limited space in cemeteries, if a person doesn’t mind having a family bury their loved one in the backyard of their home, they should absolutely be allowed to that. Freedom! 🦅 🇺🇸
It’s not illegal, some states you get a tax deduction if you choose to do that
I did some Craigslist sales about a decade ago and I feel lucky each was legit, no setups.
Is it weird that I was just doing a job in akron by a cell tower, where someone told me a dead body was found back there a while back, only to watch this youtube video and the first story is about the guys who committed the murder where the body ended up (at least one of them)😮 I'm blown away

I live in Ohio and at that time lived close to Akron, lived in Cuyahoga Falls when that story about a farm hand happened. Never heard about the one where the girl faked her own disappearance. I remember the one where a woman was advertising free baby clothes and baby stuff and murdered the pregnant woman who responded to her as, the baby lived, but what a terrible ordeal.
The place where Timothy Kern was lured and murdered, at the Mall in Akron OH, was turned into an Amazon facility that i now currently work at. That is pretty crazy that the Craiglist murder happened exactly where i work.
I watched a show called American Monster or Evil Lives Here on the first story. Can't remember which show had the story. Both are great for true crime. The stories come from the family and/or victims of the murders. There's no interview, it's just them telling the stories. It feels more personal.
