- We're in Bohol and today we're touring the Chocolate Hills with the kids. It's our first time back in Bohol since 2019.
We've heard a lot online about a resort here in Bohol which is controversially, close to one of the Chocolate Hills. Some say it's fake news some say it's real so going to find out for ourselves and see what's really going on.

During the time we filmed this, it was the same time the resort went viral, we asked many locals if it was true. Some didn’t think it was, some said it was fake news so our driver said we could find out. This is what happened… 👀
The Chocolate Hills is a National Park categorized as a protected landscape since the people inside the park. Its a UNESCO site. There are rules to be followed in the park specially with the builing of structures, no matter how noble the intentions still has to follow rules.
I appreciate Kim trying her best to talk in the Filipino language, even her husband Tom. Maybe Kim can still articulate in her mother's dialect of Ilongo. In other matters, the Chocolate Hills should be preserved and no resort should be built too close to it. There's no ifs or buts to it. By the way, Bohol has its famous delicacy called "peanut kisses." If I'm not mistaken, it also has this jam like food item called "calamay."
Wishing and believing that you will have 1M subscribers. One trait of Kim is she makes her efforts to speak Tagalog. I wish you teach your kids speak Tagalog, Filipinos love to see foreign kids speak Tagalog esp how your kids , say hi Kaya, Hi Ae.. it is s respect to us. I see your kids grow in entertainment . As early as young, enroll them in drums, music and hosting jobs.

(im not demanding you guys) but you guys should definitely watch the local news on tv, to really inform you guys about the state of the country (and this situation specifically), this resort has also been featured multiple times on tv, i think the coverage lasted for at least a week due to the growing tension whether it should be allowed or not. the latest news is that it's currently suspended for operation, some rumors say it would be possibly torn down in the future
it starts with just “one resort”, then slowly it multiplies until they creep onto the hills itself.

I agree with the preservation of our natural resources. The LGU should have not approved the building of that resort in the first place. Anyway, I think it was still a blessing your flight got delayed so that you got to enjoy the sunset…it was beautiful…looking forward to your next family travel vlog! Maybe you can visit Siargao or Batanes.

I never been there but I can see steps built, may I know if it was built on one of the hills to see the view of the other hills?
If they got the proper permits and documents to build everyone should be outraged with the local government, not the resort. Must have been some kickbacks in it for the local government to approve the build….. 👀
Also, if it’s been there for a long time and operating it obviously didn’t disturb anyone too much until it became viral. There’s still lots of beauty there to take in. 🤗 Thanks for sharing this interesting story! ☺️
Well, if they paid the local government to get the permits then it's the owner's fault. This could also be possible.

These people here at the comment section couldn’t understand where Kim is coming from. The family owners didn’t know better for all they knew was to live better. I myself felt terribly sorry for the owners & including the employees who lost their jobs. They did everything legally. It’s the local government who did them dirty in the first place. They should be the one who educated the owner. I hear the people of Bohol. Yes it didn’t look good but at the same time I wish they compensate everything the family owners spent from that mistake their local government did to them. In fact, I will sue their whole soul for doing me dirty. Y’all do not understand the feeling of working so hard knowing you didn’t do anything wrong. No the owners didn’t know better for their intentions were good. They did the resort to make it budget friendly for the locals too. It’s insane to me how the rich business owners can get away with soooo many things but ordinary local Filipino business owners who are doing everything clean are being gang like this.
I’m not disagreeing with people not wanting the resort there but the owners NOT having justice is evil (my opinion) Those owners aren’t even hella rich compare to the owner who owns amanpulo like that resort is mad expensive but only the rich can benefit from it. What about the locals? I’m saying, don’t gang on the ordinary people.
It looks like the Kito Family can be an investigative journalist hehe or investigative content creator. In my opinion its a big deal chocolate hills a protected area and a national treasure, tarnishing it with an ugly resort is disrespectul for mother nature, and of the law

The main complaint is that the Chocokate Hills are a UNESCO Heritage site and having a resort in its midst nars its natural beauty. And its supposed to be illegal to put structures in such sites. No, I won't go see it cuz its a bit tacky, nothing special except for the fact that they constructed it in a place where it should not be. Its like having a resort beside the Stonehenge, right? And yeah, I flew on AirAsia once...NEVER AGAIN!
Same here, tried once flying w/ AirAsia last year, had a VERY BAD & UNACCEPTABLE experience. I'll never do it again. So.....DISGUSTING.

I completely disagree with this resort being built around the UNESCO heritage site. This natural beauty is a precious resource that we need to take care of. It's saddening to see how our actions can negatively impact the natural beauty around us. We should all strive to do our part in protecting our planet for ourselves and future generations.
