TLshadow1997 I watched the Chinese National games of table tennis, wangchuqin still has a huge gap between Ma and Fan. It’s hard for him to catch up with Ma Long within 3 years.
@@yipengguo2732 That's very true. But a lot can happen in 3 years. Zhang Jike for example went from being in the Olympics singles to disappearing completely despite the fact that most people thought he was better than Ma Long earlier in their careers. And Wang can still be the third man in the Team event. No way Xu Xin will be called up again.
per Captain Long, three types of serves, typically two spin variations for each: 1. Straight (Two spin variations: Under Spin / No Spin) 2. Spin towards left (Two spin variations: Side Top Spin / Side Under Spin) 2. Spin towards right (Two spin variations: Side Top Spin / Side Under Spin) For each, you can do either a long or short serve, and more granular level of variation would be to vary your placement inch by inch.
Great. its very hard to get a long reverse pendulum long underspin serve imo. Im getting used to the straight and regular pendulum but reverse is really hard to get good spin and power into the ball for me still.
@@void0350 you need to use your thumb and index finger to hold the blade firm, and use your fingers and wrist to generate the trajectory & spin. Takes a lot of practice to master.

It better be popular serves. It’s the only three serves you can do in table tennis. There’s only straight serves, inside out, outside in serves. How you perform them is what’s different
I'm not an expert at table tennis but these serves seem so slow, I know the spin is a lot. But wouldn't a skilled professional have no trouble handling this just to get it back and impart more spin because the pace is so slow and the ball is very easy to read because of the path? I'm not saying a rec player, but a professional.
Officially it says "nearly straight up" in the guidance and does not mention what degrees from vertical is considerrd as "nearly"...it depends on the umpire's standard.

2. 0:11 Pendulum / sidespin to the right (with disquise / fake motion)

@@lpy1102 He's most likely going to miss it. He's 31 already. Wang Chuqin is probably next in line to be in singles.

How about straight (top spin)?
@mikelin7 Easy to recognise and not very effective since no sidespin means no control
