The backdrops are exactly that. Used for backgrounds, say in dark rides, where the building would appear further in the distance and don't need all the details. Good for having some details without a high piece count to get that look. you can also make scenes in a dark ride appear much larger using these as a forced perspective kind of way. I actually think its a great idea and should be expanded upon for other packs for dark rides.

Personally I wouldn't want this pack if it was free and I don't think any of the DLC to date was worth the money, but that's just me.
