can i make 8 inch cake like this and place it as topper for a larger base? total weight of cake needs to be 2 kgs. your reply will be highly appreciated. tfs
You mean make this cake 8"long and place it on a bigger cake? Yes sure. I would place the car on a cake board that is the same shape (tiny bit smaller so it's not showing) and then dowels the cake below and place the car on top. The biggest cake I've made was about 18kg and if you support it properly it's doable. But if the weight is an issue you could make the car shape out of rice crispy treats and cover it in fondant

Well, if you want to make a cake that looks like it, I would recomment you get the blueprints, f.e. here: www.the-blueprints.com/blueprints/cars/honda/1034/view/honda_accord/ or lots of pictures from different angles. An easy way is to make it out of RKT and place it on top of a cake. That gives you more time (days if you want) to work on the details. Simply sculpture the RKT as good as you can to the shape, ice it and covered it in fondant, then do all the details. Otherwise good luck with the car you wanna buy, enjoy and safe driving ;)
