Last month, I was enjoying the sunshine at the ABR festival!
I tackled the trail on Mikes Dominator!
The loop is about an hour long so the more boringy bits have been chopped but hopefully this gives you a little insight into the trails at ABR!

Hey crocodile, I'm a fan of Lucia's lines too. 😂 She does seem to naturally pick a suitable track. Interesting how your breathing rate jumped when you took the lead. You should have more confidence in yourself Kate. You were more than capable on that route.

Bossed it, looked like cracking fun to be fair! Never really been one for adventure bikes but this looks like the way to get into it!!

You did just fine. When I was a teeen ager, I had a smallish dirt bike, and tried a little moto-x. There was this downhill section att my local track that you launched off the tip and flew about 100 ft down a steep downhill into a creek bed and a hard right, then into a jump. It took me several races until I was able to fly down it. Once I did it, and I didn't die, I was king of the mountain from then on. Trust me, you will get there. Now days, I have more problems riding my new BMW R1250 RT after 25 years of non riding. I keep practicing and I know I'll be touring soon. At 68, it takes a while for the muscle memory to come back.

You did great Kate. Don't put pressure on yourself and ignore what you think others might think or say. Off roading is waaay different to tarmac and most of if not all negative comments will come from people who have never done it.

Love the off road. Raced motocross in eighties, RM125, has been that long since I was off road. Back injury and my wife keeps me away from off road. I stick to my big comfy cruiser with radio and cruise control. You did great and easier with speed up. Take care!

Super! You are a heroe. Never forget that speeds kills. Not so much falling of a bike in the field. Inertia and all that. Just discovered your channel a few weeks ago. Love it. Has gotten even better since you became independent. All about the fun. Less about selling stuff.

Kate, Looks like you had an amazing time. I think you enjoyed yourself also, just remember practice makes perfect, my first off road many moons ago, I was so dirty with falling off, and next day my legs hurt so much and bruised knees with gripping the bike. But Lucia was right go fast and you will float over the rocks and mud ruts, slowly you will hit every one

Kate you were brilliant on the trail and I loved your commentary, Lucia made the Tenere World Raid on standard tyres look like a 250 Enduro, very impressive.
Kate you did a great job especially for being as freaked as you were. Have to give it to you are willing to try something that that causes you so much anxiety. I have to admit as much as I like trail riding ruts tend to give me a bit of pucker.
Respect Kate - you looked like a pro (if I turned off the audio 🤣) - many years ago I did some motor-X which completely knackered me out so I understand where you are coming from! 😎

It was my first time doing proper off-road stuff, I did it on my Tiger 900. I was probably feeling a lot like you were.
The fact it was so hot didn't help.

Well done kate i did the same trail for my first got at off roading, its more tiering than you think, and i only crashed one so i was quite pleased with myself

Also, boots !! They are so restrictive for a short rider on what are normally tall bikes
I wear childsize boots so the calf ratio is about right for me 🥲🤣

for a trail like this , a scooter with a wight about 120+ will be enough - to expensive 🙄
