Tried several times with Keyboard and Mouse and so far didn't manage make it work :( Update - done it somehow by meshing space button. It seems the only way as keyboard delay is unpredictable and it has to hit the correct time slot. Update1: - you need more than 99 arrows on un-upgraded longbow with basic Dex (i.e 14). I actually upgraded it to +1 and then it took 99 normal arrows + 44 fire arrows bought from grey rat. Update2: on unupgraded longbow you need 99 standard arrows and 59 fire ones provided you don't miss. Recommend to have few extras just in case.
You most certainly can do this with just 99 wooden arrows. Im lv28. Long bow +2 Vigor 19 Attune 10 Endurance 10 Vitality 14 Strength 12 Dex 20 Int 10 Faith 10 Luck 12 Take 5 Ashen estus and use the long bow weapon art. This totally still works. Just dont roll backwards. Stand on right tile. Inch forward until prompt, as your entering start mashing the backstep button. Make sure your facing the dancer so if it moves you can quit out real quick and try again. I had 11 arrows left.
I think it might’ve been patched because I am going to the far right and inch my way in to see the traverse the fog and then I will go in and back step and she will still run after me but idk maybe I’m just not doing it right

Works partially. Dancer is indeed freezed, but my crossbow bolts are not hiting her - instead of it, they are stuck on fog gate. When I move closer, battle starts normally. What to do now?
You need bow and arrow. I’ve tested with crossbow and great bow, they do not work. When you use crossbow, the animation makes you take a step backwards and gets stuck, if you use great bow, the animation makes you go forward and you move past the initiation line
I didn't understand very well. Do I have to color the feet between the line that divides the 4 blocks and click to enter immediately when the button appears?

I’m level 40 an 110 arrows wasn’t enough so get about 140 arrows or upgrade your bow or you’ll have to run in an finish the boss off like I did . Good luck !

just did this on PC with keyboard, i think you have to be as far as possible when trying to enter (that's the key thing here). took about 10-20 tries to finally work

Worked 1st try. Used flynns ring and Lloyds sword ring to minimise arrows used. Now I can get a crazy weapon before Vordt 😂😂

Edge your way until the prompt, and when you enter jump back
Just mash the backstep button, dont roll bacwards. Although ive done it rolling backwards. Backstep seems more consistent.
