He may not be the most eloquent but I was able to watch the entire half hour video without skipping because he is such and interesting dude and the interviewer asked some good questions. Cant say that about most celebrity interviews.

This is Watkin Tudor Jones shining through the Ninja persona. Like, do you think the gangsta who fights and kills people and shit would sit with coffee/tea and talk about movies? and direct very artful and distinct videos? Nah, there's a real brain behind all this and he's pretty smart. It's not that it's like all a hoax or anything, it's just a man being an artist

It's funny watching people complain about this interview. I'm tired of the same shit over and over, with uptight interviewers and making the person being interviewed feel like they are forced to behave like everyone else.
I felt like (even though he seemed nervous) she allowed Ninja to just speak the way he wanted, regardless if she was behaving like a fangirl. You can learn more about ones personality this way, rather than feel like you're being restricted with what you can and cannot say.

The movie is what brought me to the Antwoord. I watched the film and I was absolutely gobsmacked, love Neil Blomkampf and District 9 etc. The song at the end credits was the cherry on the cake and I was like, who sings this song? Then I realised the band actually starred in the film then I was completely hooked on you guys!

Would imagine that Ninja is quite a difficult guy to interview as he inarticulately rants with not much direction...but my god, putting an interviewer who just laughs at things that arent funny and meekly agrees with doe eyes wasnt the right move. I wanted to know if the troubles in filming were true, this was a perfect opportunity to get that, but the ball was dropped here massively and we just get vanilla shit like "what was the most unexpected element of making a film?". And I think that is the most direct question...

I love Die Antwoord and Chappie so it would've been super cool with a nice interview about the movie. Instead we get a 30 minutes long train wreck with this total douche baguette behaving like a giggly 13 year old fangirl splooshing all over.
She's asking really stupid questions, but most of all she's just going on and on trying to prove how she really gets Ninja and how hip and down with Die Antwoord she is, while failing spectacularly. Please let somebody competent handle the interviews in the future.

But yeah, he should be stoked that his work is blowing up.
Who here feels their act is satirical? Same thing they say about Riff Raff, which IMO tends to seem similar in some ways...

That's cool. Some people like to have several personas I guess. I don't think I can do it, but obviously others do well with it. :)

That is one well disciplined rabbit. He made the right call (Ninja, not the rabbit) not doing a role that would conflict with the style of Die Antwoord. He obviously felt it would be kinda like selling out. Also, "The God's Must Be Crazy" hah! man I haven't seen that movie for years.. it had like a B grade film feel to it, but yeah I was a kid when that came out too but it was done really well. It probably had a small budget but it had a big impact. Ninja's a cool guy, nice, open and intelligent.

Ninja is a legitimate amphetamine addict and it really shows. His mannerisms and speech hints towards so much of it. The space headed talks, the deep gazes in muse of the aspect of thoughts. He's not all there. He's there, but he hasn't explored all the doors he has closed. I wish him well. I really do. He can be so much more. *He had us in the first run.*.JPEG.

Louis Crowley his name is Waddy Jones, and I know about his character acting but I don't think he's in character here as Ninja, because he's not acting like it. Some of his written interviews confirm he cusses a lot even around his child. So yeah I think he just studders a lot. Nothing wrong with that, just hard to understand him sometimes.

He reminds me of the character that the beast can channel. You know the guy with the multiple personalities. . Nija is the young boy he channels. Inspired!
Also a bit of chirs Lilly as johnah 😂

I honestly think a lot of those things are rumors. Knowing Die Antwoord and being a fan way before Chappie I just can't imagine Ninja behaving that way.

Watch some of the recent videos about them... I was a die hard Die Antword fan until recently .. Ninja and Yolandi are racist homophobic and all around pretty awful hateful people. Ninja attacked an artist on tour with them in 2012 that was gay then he and Yolandi fabricated a story that the guy sexually assaulted Yolandi. There's video of it. Always a bummer when people you think are inspirational are really awful people
