There's a lot of hype for Colwill. He is yet to show he's the superstar in the making other than half a season for Brighton. I hope he lives up to the hype.
Heated😂. I’m in both camps. Maybe Colwill has a high ceiling, but I haven’t seen anything in his first full season to say he is better than anyone else. I would say Trev and Silva completely out played him. At this stage I do wonder if it’s all hype? As a reference I don’t think Reece, Gallagher and Trev are hype as home grown talents. The whole flirting accusations I haven’t seen or care about. The fact that other team’s want him at a high price makes me think I’m the minority.
@@Jordinho99 if you think that, I would suggest studying the game further. He was 1 of 3 resting CB’s in the attacking phase. Sometimes taking up free space on the left wing when vacated. But he certainly wasn’t an overlapping LB. The big issue was defending the left back slot which made him look very average. My argument was that I’d hoped for a talented player he would look much better than he did. Similar to Ake, Akanji and Gvardiol. Even when he did play a more traditional CB I still didn’t see the hype, though looking better. I will concede with a run of games maybe my mind will change.
@@florme6494 Poch didn't make the best use of his ball-playing ability and in such a back and forth transitional system he left him with a lot of space to cover especially with mudryk often ahead of him who really needs to up his defensive work rate, under De Zerbi, Colwill looked brilliant and Maresca's system is much more similar to his than Poch's with an emphasis on control and lots of possession, I'd recommend taking a look at his defensive stats too as he's near the top on a lot of metrics such as dribblers tackled, I'm confident he will be much better next season. Also wouldn't buy into the overhyping of players too much, Levi has world class potential but he's still very young so don't always expect the finished product, mistakes are inevitable.
@@florme6494 This isn’t true, Colwill was getting up and down the line when he was playing LB. Like he did for the assist to a Mudryk, and when he made the pre assist for Madueke’s goal against Luton. I wish he was playing as a LCB but he was playing as a genuine LB.
@@Jordinho99 I agree with every point you’ve made there. It’s nice to have a civilised conversation with a Chelsea supporter these days that doesn’t end with name calling and such.
I'm with Alex on this...But Robert Cooked. I think Up until this point, it's fair to say Badiashile has shown more on a per game basis than Colwill has. Even Colwill said he looks to LEARN From Badiashile.. I also think Colwill will end up BETTER than badiashile but Roberts opinion wasn't CRAZY. Badiashile's first Season was Nuts
While he was poor when he first returned from injury, I think Badiashille got a lot better toward the end of the season. I hate how Chelsea fans are with players. At the end of the 22/23 season he was our saviour, then he was written off after a few poor post-injury performances. That is absolutely ridiculous. He isn’t the best player in the world, but he’s nowhere near as bad as people make out.
Alex is bias because he is friends to Levi family, truth be told Robert is 100% right. Levi doesn't seem like he is committed to chelsea, he should leave please
Not robert man🤣🤣 that olise discussion a while back killed me
Alex Goldberg, please stop yelling. You sound like Alex Jones.

Poch had him as an overlapping LB lol his best position is LCB and we'll see a much better Colwill next season in Maresca's system.

This is the best football show ever 😂😂😂
Keep Colwill at all costs. Anyone who suggests otherwise hasn't been a Chelsea fan long or are not from these parts.
Robert is taking over the Chelsea internet 😂
What is Robert mumbling about?
