  • Not my best work! But the 2.5 inch SSD was installed nicely. With the silver laptop, I recommend being gently with the plastic prying tools as any damage is visible. I got this Lexar NS100 256GB SSD a few months ago for around 33 bucks. Keep in mind that prices vary.

    You're the only one I've found who explained the formatting of the drive at the end. Spent a long while trying to figure out why the laptop wouldn't recognize the ssd. And this was why, it was offline. Everyone else had me going into the BIOS and making sure it was enabled, etc. So thanks so much for the useful/helpful information!

    This is an amazing vid. Unfortunately I think I misplaced my laptop box and have no idea where my mounting screws are. I may have to spring for other screws for the caddy. Also, you definitely did a better job taking it apart than I did when I put in my RAM before. I just got a 480GB SSD on sale, so I'm going to be putting that one in.

    Can you answer RAM and secondary ssd hard drive questions for an Acer Aspire 5 a515-44-r93g?

  • @revera89
    @revera89 2 года назад

    So my Acer Aspire 5 A515-43 with a 256 SSD from the factor by default, has a second slot for me to add my new SSD? So there'll be two SSD's if I install a new one? There's not one visible for me to replace instead? This is the second Acer Aspire 5 video where the SSD area seems empty from the factory. So IDK where the SSD I'm currently utilizing is at in the Acer lol. I haven't opened the Acer yet to upgrade quite yet.
