    They seemed so uncomfortable in that Italian TV show. They're all standing there, just waiting for it to be over lol seriously, the Italian guy was indeed taking his time reading that whole page.

      Roxy Bar was a succesful show in Italy during the 80s and 90s and it helped in discovering many foreign artists through the decades.
      The show host though, Red Ronnie, was and still is a total douche.

      'Slates falling on his head', referring to roof tiles, which were sometimes made from slate in parts of the UK and still exist on older houses and buildings.
      This is a great video

    14:58. I think this Italian guy is reading the lyrics to Common People. Can someone who speaks Italian validate please?

    • @lucazanovello631
      @lucazanovello631  9 месяцев назад +2

      Correct. Unfortunately most italian people didn’t understand english (and still doesn’t) so the host used to translate the lyrics.
      I uploaded the whole show and he does the same with Disco 2000.
      The cringiest thing is that both songs, especially Common People, have long lyrics so both audience and band were confused and a bit bored.

    What is that first clip from? The one presented by the lady in the glittery baseball cap? (never thought I'd ever need to type those words)

      It’s from Irish TV, a children’s programme called JMTV (which had previously been called Jo Maxi); the show ran from 1988 to 1994, so this is one of the later episodes. The presenter is Gemma Hill who is now a lecturer in broadcast journalism at Dublin Business School.
