It was bad! I'll admit. How BYU's offense was able to make those holes and gaps was crazy. At one point, one of the worst offenses in the country could do whatever they wanted on OUs defense. Just glad we got the win. But man. It was bad.
you all said JA didnt need reps but NOW can you tell me those reps were not INVALUABLE?? JA even said it himself he needed two drives to calm down and really that pick 6 helped him calm down.. imagine if his first start is a SEC game and instead of him getting to CALM DOWN hes getting his bell rung every other down like this was NEEDED for JA now he can see its not all sunshine and rainbows when hes out there and he needs to grind like never before.. mark my words this was key for JA's development!
Remember when all the fans were saying JA needs to get some snaps for experience and all the so called experts no well guess what it would have paid off today. Why dont we blitz more? When few times we do it the payoff is high but just like everything else when it works we quit doing it like running the ball in Redbone right before the half, didn't run it once. How much of Lebbys incompetence will be tolerated? Only good thing was he finally left sawchuck in game for 2nd game. There are some bad coaching decisions being made and it's become a pattern.
Defense was lost all game, if not for the 3 turnovers, we lose the game. Offense was inconsistent, scored when needed but played bad enough to lose if not for 21 points off of the turnovers. We can't play road games.
theyre giong up against guys stronger then them or as close to as strong as them so you just are not going to man handle teams like you want.. Georgia man handles teams not bcuz of scheme but bcuz theyre stronger then everyone else.. thats that Schmitty hype for you.. weak sauce out there!
well bryan, you almost got to make that long trip back with that big L in the back seat. i thought that byu would give us their very best and they did!
Fire Lebby!!! I'm just kidding. I'm not a dumbass. Lebby isn't the one not executing or jumping the snap. No one that has power in the Sooner program would fire Lebby. Especially since he would get snatched up by Saban or any other SEC team.
Lebby has changed his entire play calling ways so yes Lebby was a big problem not entire problem but he was one of them but now hes throwing open then run vs trying to run open the throws which never worked for this team..
This is the same fanbase that wanted Brent run out of town in 2011. The administration obliged, then he went on to win two national championships and a Broyles award at Clemson. Lebby is fine, he’s growing as a play caller and will continue to improve in that respect. Firing coaches and coordinators in year 2 after a rough game or two is exactly how you become the next Nebraska.
@@cgtrains Exactly! I just watched a video just now of Nic Anderson saying the same thing. He was addressing the fans that want Lebby fired & how ridiculous it is. But I'm sure fans know more about calling plays at this level just as much, if not better, than Lebby. 🙄
If OU is 🚫 winning by 40 a game some fans get pissed. Anyone that says they would not be happy with a 10-2 year is way over reacting. Hopefully 10 -2 after Friday. Still getting better as a team.
OU played bad complementary football, with the offense (fire Lebby!) and the defense looking poor. This was the first game, because we played a truly poor opponent, unlike Kansas and Ok State, which are decent, that reminded me of last season. The team has been woefully inconsistent since Texas and that is frustrating as hell. Because of our bipolar nature, I put BV is on the hot seat going into next season - unless we miraculously win the Big 12 title.
Defensive line is an absolute embarrassment! They have zero moves or skill , no swim moves no ripping, they only bull rush get blocked or do slow developing stunts that don’t get home. That was the worst offensive line we will see all year and we got whipped like a school teacher after watching fifty shades of grey. Embarrassing! Sick of the lack of development in the trenches and I’m not even lying. Verily beat a bad team on the road! Schmidt should have to take a greyhound bus back with the rest of the Defensive line.
Venables should try and hire the Oklahoma State Offensive Line coach. They push people all over the place and got the better of us. Our oline is not winning most of the time, and not being able to push around BYU, SMU and UCF is a very poor reflection on Bill Bedenbaugh. We are not sustaining drives and it is hurting g th awhile team. One more glaring issue is special teams discipline, and in particular the kicking game. There is no way we should have as much trouble as we've had getting a quality kicker. It's been overlooked long enough.
@@Im_Old_Gregg I am aware of Bill Bedenbaugh's career arc at OU. He was making great lineman out of 3 stars a few years ago, but the last 3 years have been a different story and that's the truth. We are not even pushing around the mediocre teams. Most of our running game problems are because we don't have the beasts up front that we used to. We are moving to the SEC and the defensive fronts only get tougher. OSU has a better oline, and that should never happen. So no, it's not silly at all. I've been watching closely for a very long time, and I have beaten the drum for Bedenbaugh, but he doesn't recruit many top tier lineman hard enough and nowadays he's not developing the 3 stars like he used to.
@@-sensibleChris I dont agree with really any of that. It's my opinion that Lebby's offense where every play is an RPO makes it where an offensive lineman can't be aggressive downhill and come off with velocity. If they do and Gabriel take the pass option on an RPO now we have ineligible downfield penalties. Bill just had a first rounder last year and will again this year in Guyton. The thing is with recruiting the top linemen on both sides of the ball is that there's an extremely limited number of them. They're trying to recruit against the absolute best of the best and they're getting some. Cayden Green is an animal as a true freshman. Sure I would like to get some more of those elite offensive linemen but thats every team in the country outside of small handful that can afford those guys or have won multiple titles in the last decade.
BYU gift wrapped that game and I’ll take it.
We got pushed around up front ALL GAME LONG. Wtf man.
oline and dline.. been this way all year imo.. what all that Schmitty hype about .. our corners weigh 170lb haha
That was the Road Game Sooners. Thankfully it’s our last road game.
It was bad! I'll admit. How BYU's offense was able to make those holes and gaps was crazy. At one point, one of the worst offenses in the country could do whatever they wanted on OUs defense. Just glad we got the win. But man. It was bad.
I can't stop looking at the background beauty
Our Sooners got blind squirrel lucky winning this game! Jackson looked good! Glad to see how he handled the game!

1 drive against WVU’s 4th string in front of an emptying palace isn’t worth nearly as much as you are implying it is
Redshirt is no big deal. If Arnold is as good as we think. Hell be gone before his Senior year.

The redshirt is nice in theory. But there’s probably aboht a 0.01% chance he’d be here for a 5th year anyway.
no one said Stogner cant catch we said he cant block and you need to do both to be a great TE just a fact
What has happened to Peyton Bowen
Think he’s been hurt.
He played a few snaps on defense but I don't think he's 100% yet

@@OkieTradezhow do you explain the fact that they won the line of scrimmage against Texas?
Get the rode wireless pro mic set 👍 works with phones.
Need to focus on that run defense and pass rush. Gave their offense too much time with the ball and make decisions.
This team played against 23 and 25 year old young men today sheesh!!!
well bryan, you almost got to make that long trip back with that big L in the back seat. i thought that byu would give us their very best and they did!
That’s kind of a cool stadium

Can we please get a new FG kicker! Please meet with someone from OU soccer team.
We should find a guy who’s last name ends with a “Z”….if you catch my drift. 🇲🇽
Liked the Chris Collinsworth slide entrance lol
You saw what we did there! Thank you! 🤣
30 seconds in and Brandon mentions Gavin 😂😂. Damn his love affair with him is getting boarderline creepy
O...VER ...RATED
Hopefully Schmidt is walking back to Norman
great comment!!!
OSU getting all the calls going their way vs. Houston. More Big 12 BS Yorkie rug jobbing.

The team is 9-2. I see you are getting ready for the SEC by complaining about a 9-2 season. Go root for Texas.
