I can see why David wanted to escape the clutches of Ken Hensley. Byron is an excellent song writer!!! Every song on this album is good. A few are excellent. Beautiful voices and great harmonizing, just like Heep. Both of his bands deserved more recognition. Everybody’s Star brings tears to my eyes. RIP David Byron!!!
I was lucky enough to meet David on The Byron Band Tour.He was having a drink in the bar and I asked him for his autograph.He duly obliged and I thanked him.When I looked at the autograph it was a squiggle and nothing like the one on Heep live cover so I went back and asked him to do it again lol.He did no problem and I still have it to this day.God bless you David.

Yeah few people know that David Garrick changed his name to the poet's because he thought it sounded more worthy of respect. Circle of Hands is a good song that shows his range. I think Salisbury the song and album contain his best vocal performances. That effortless falsetto on the park still amazes me and anyone I make listen to it for the first time.

Agree. I saw them in 1976 at the Hammond Civic Center in Hammond Indiana. He would be forced to leave the band shortly after that tour.
