Also remember to turn the heaters on full blast & hot when bleeding the system. This helps to circulate everything through the heater matrix too! Great vid mate
Hello Rob, sure missed driving Corsa! Used to drive them when i lived in UK! And nice to see you back again doing more videos. You're looking well! Merry Christmas to you and family, from Josh, USA.
Thanks for the video. I’ve just replaced my water pump. I cut a hole in the plastic inner wing to get the lower bracket bolt out & popped a closed grommet in for future access. 😀
thank you very much i just want to tell you that i did let the air out but too late . i opened the vise of the radiator and my car running to let the air out ? is it like the same when you did that step in the begginning of the refill ? ,
@@OneAuto thank you sir but i noticed that water level is dropped slightly, is that normal so i refill the tank to the maximum 3 days ago ,and today i noticed a slight drop by the way i just replaced the pump. Is this normal because i inspect all possible leaks visually nothing appears anormal
Nice video and thanks for sharing. A lot of brands are available in the market. Which brand would you recommend for Vauxhall for long-term working? Thanks.
@@OneAuto Hi Thanks for your suggestions. Who gives 3 years warranty? I didn't notice any wordings on Europarts or other stores like Amazon saying that? Any specific dealer, please?
I’m having a very weird problem - wish I could send you the video! It’s a corsa D eco boost turbo 1.4 - when it’s idle, the engine has started to get very loud for a few seconds, then goes quiet, then loud again (revs don’t increase). It then also started to get a loud irregular squeak. It was quite a hot day so I was wondering whether a broken water pump could sauce these irregular noise fluctuations that only occur when the car is idle. The noise has also stopped today but I’m scared to drive it as I don’t want to make anything worse until I know the issue!
Did you use deionized water or normal tap water. I can remember when I did a coolant change on my old Corsa C the motor factor told me to buy deionized stuff, I didn't bother and used normal water.
Hi i need some help. i have a 2013 corsa d that has a frothy oil cap. i believe it has had the chain tentioner changed in the past. could you please help on what may be wrong.
Good news. Probably nothing wrong. I’ve seen loads over the years. People wrongly think it’s the head gasket but it’s not. Mainly caused by condensation inside the cam cover due to small runs and hot/cold cycles. Give it a wipe and regularly check your oil and water.
@@OneAuto thanks for your quick reply. The oil cap is really frothy and thick but there is no oil in the coolant resevoir. there is a light misting of oil for the top cam cover where it says ecotec( cam cover) but apart from that there is no signes of any other promenant issue
On the corsa c they knew they had problems with the water pump leaking so why did they fit the same pump on the corsa d. When filling the coolant system on a corsa c how would you get the air out as they didn't have a bleed valve.
@@OneAuto No bleed valve. When I had someone do the timing chain he mentioned that there is a special way of filling the system on these cars but he wouldn't say what it was.
When these leak. I know this is a dumb question. Can oil leak through it. Not just water. So need be replaced to stop cars dropping oil. Leaking through the water pump. My corsa went in for suspect crankcase oil leak … ended up being water pump. I’m suspect.
No it’s just water. Common oil leaks are the oil pressure switch at the front left of the cylinder head as you look at it and the sump pans can corrode through.
@@OneAuto MANY THANKS, I too know of the Oil Pressure Switch common Corsa-D , was almost certain couldn't get an oil leak through the water pump. My Corsa went into garage oil leak crankcase, ended up coming out new Thermo, Water Pump, Header tank, and pressurises up!!! With Thermo out straight through housing doesn't boil up. I'm on with checking circuit as puzzled, 2x new Thermo and cold pipes stuck closed,
Nice one mate. I got tool question. Do you think vice grips set - "Sealey AK668 Rust Resistant Locking Plier Set" is good vice grips for DIY use? I mean with all the chinese junk out there people should be careful. But i'm thinking of buying these English tools.👍
Get yourself an Irwin set but make sure you buy the straight jaw ones 102L3. Goto my Amazon shop (link in description) and look in the hand tools section. Irwin are the best in my opinion.
Good to see you back Rob but I'd tuck those hoody draw strings in somewhere while your leaning over a running engine...just incase they get snagged somewhere and pull you in...

I'm so happy one of the best auto channels is back online!

thanks so much. I need to do this on my corsa...feeling confident now. Tyron - South Africa

Thanks for te video. I've always struggled to get the air out the cooling systems on those engines. I never knew there was a air bleed plug! Thanks

Тебе зубы лечят тоже через уши? 😂
We’ve noticed that we’ve got dried coolant splatter on the top of the water pump next to where the belt is on the pulley?

Yes if the air is out that’s good

Yes if air bubbles out into the bottle overnight
thanks so when i am supposed to stop refill some water to the maximum ?
Yes just to max level

I have the same issue. It could just be the thermostat. It looks easier to replace the water pump and thermostat if the system is drained.

Tap water mate, always have. I don’t know anyone that uses deionised water. Merry Christmas mate 🎄

Maybe talking about a vacuum bleed system. Great tool to have
