I think he thought he was a pirate and tried to board their ship
sometimes in this game, I start to wonder if some of the players are from WOT: and that Kirov felt a destroyer must be like a light tank, and decided to suicide scout to help his heavies and mediums work out where everyone was.
Then I remember that the tactic doesn't work well there either, and destroyers can do far better by chilling outside of max detection why idling behind friendly cruisers using island cover, while also being available to fire yet more guns at destroyers or cruisers who want to sneak into torpedo range.
The only time to suicide is the usual legendary braindead charge against the final two hostile battleships to torpedo both at the same time at the end of the game. The rest of the time you have mobility, speed and stealth to offer protection better than any armour: shots that don't hit you can't hurt you, and if people cannot tell where you are, there won't BE torpedos nor shells for you to dodge.

At times, watching a video like this makes me feel a lot less depressed about my own potato play. I'm not the only useless player around.
It's fun when you surprise yourself with your own accidental competence as a useless player. And someone's gotta make the good people look good. Useless player represent!

That Aoba player actually did well in that game though. He probably just did the Notser, as several players are guilty of doing from time to time.
No, he actually did well at the end as well. He did what enemy Myoko should have done earlier. I believe he beached on purpose and tried to reverse behind island without giving broadside to anyone
TBH I'm going to chalk this one up to the absolutely terrible hitboxes of some of the islands in this game. Jingles made it seem like he rammed the island nose-on but it looks more like he got jammed there after drifting into it.
Salt Efan what is a notser? I know the channel a little bit. But never understodd the whole "pulling a notser" thing.
@@webdigo He's (in)famous in the community for sailing into islands because he is not paying attention to his surroundings, being too focused on other ships.
I once had a *Belfast* in my team that was firing AP at a fully angled battleship and then I asked him why he was doing it and he replied "royal navy AP has improved penetration angles"
That's true...........but doesn't apply to Belfast and Perth.

Reminds me of the time i got surprised by a Anshan destroyer while in my Anshan.
I had just fired my torps (at someone else of course), when he came barraling around an Island into my face at full speed, his torps missed, i tried to ram, he turned away and we ended up side by side next to the other island. I had speed boost and -50 Acceleration Module, He was gonna reload real quick. Soooo i stayed next to him as he tried to get away, even in reverse I hugged on to him, so i wouldn't get torped. then when we went forward again I pushed him into the island, sailed on, turned enough to launch and torped him instead.
Then of course I was spotted and sunk... couldn't defend myself cause i couldn't stop laughing.
Has Anshan not this "deep water" torpedoes so you cant torp another destroyer ?
@@heardistance no it has normal torps, being a premium ship gave it normal torps
@@heardistance any torp has a minimun arm distace, so u cant derp torps in the face of someone, They need a cuple of meters to arm

Dabz' first salvo was HE and set that Helena on fire, The Helena used it's damage control on the fire and had nothing to repair the engine with.
This kind of smart gameplay can be found in any T10 game nowadays not only low tiers...

Actually one of his teammates DID use the 'channel of doom' to transit between caps but at the time pretty much everything on the enemy team was spotted so it wasn't a big risk.
That island is only overpowered if you are with stupids spotting for you while dying

the IJN 203guns are godly now, which make myoko even more powerful than before.
The Helena is not using damage control because it has used it before to put out a single fire that the initial HE salvo has set. Jingles..you’re not observing your own videos!

And there was one assumption in the video.. it's not that those 3 at the end were the best of the team, only those lucky enough to still be alive the good players on the enemy team that carried them could all already be dead.

Well the first enemy got set on fire with the first salvo which he emidiatly used his dmg control on... Thats why he was unable to repair his engine

Your video always fun to watch as well as learn something from them. Also I agree that many players really need to slowdown and learn to be more careful when playing. The other night I did something stupid in World of Tank where I wasn't watching where I was going and end up. Literally standing in my tank on its ass when I encountered a wall in front of it and didn't slowdown. Thank god for a friendly player who saw my cry for help and got me off the wall and on my way again.

A bugbear of mine are people who ask for help, and then when you move over to assist them, they then bugger off to the other side of the map. I'm like "Hold on, I cam e here to help you, not replace you. Thanks a bunch mate!".

Allied New Orleans played it's part - enemy acasta fired torpedoes at him, hence could do little when Myoko came around. Battleship had his guns pointed towards Orleans as well and with Cyclone, the ship with torp has big advantage as demonstrated.

I would say that sailing the middle on Two Brothers is a sound tactical decision at certain points. Especially when you are in the Spee and there is a Flint happily burning your team on the other side.
I love how Jingles's voice at the end starts to get more excited and faster. Just like a commentator/caller at a racehorse meet. That and....... how hard do you have to carry sometimes?

Jingles the friendly Icarus wasn't spotted at the time, so the myoko had no way of knowing there would be torpedos incoming.

Which one are you referring to? The CL was actually in the open, getting shot to pieces, or arguable, in the case of the Kirov, rushing yolo. The Myoko is a CA.
It would of been the stationary Myoko at around the 5:30 mark parked behind an island. I generally just refer to cruisers as CL in WoW as the dev's have no ability to code/distinguish between any of them... why should I?
It's entirely possible that the New Orleans, when he asked Dabs for assistance, didn't intend for Dabs to go in the direction that he did, or realized at the last second that his idea wouldn't work and simply failed to make Dabs turn back around.
Regarding the FARAGUT you get a lot of issues lately getting into the games. You get stuck in the loading screen and even see the ships moving in the mini map :))) Last night i had to restart the game like 3 times to make it go away...
that can be a very legitimate reason: I felt like he went AFK to make snacks while the game tried to sort him into a team, and had to answer the phone/other interruption, another reasonable reason why you might be afk.
The fact that sometimes people just join up expecting the team to win despite themselves being AFK, that is less helpful.
Loading bug happens at least once or twice a day to me. Record was 7 times in a day last week. Happened when I first started about a year ago and ever since 2 patches ago it happens much more often.
If using HDD, defragmentation helps
someone mentioned ctrl alt suppr - task manager - put wows.exe on high p^riority. it worked for me several times but I can't play these days (moving house and lots of repairs to do + work + children) so I can't say for sure it works. Give it a try

4:02 You can see the "Set on Fire" Ribbon popping up. Mostly likely that the Helena was set on fire and the captain just instantly used the damage control (because of course he would) and it was on cooldown when the engines got knocked out. Just saying ^^
As a proud Soviet cruiser captain, I can explain the Kirov. It is too often that, while intoxicated and listening to the Rasputin techno remix, we drive straight into the enemy horde. Combat is made more difficult due to the fact that our arms are folded as we dance the Kazachok in front of the computer.

Well, the other day when you said "don't try this at home..." on Two Brothers. Well, I was sailing the Atlanta in a very tier 9, battleship heavy game. Couldn't find a spot to shoot from so poked up the middle and somehow scattered the enemy formation, humiliated a Muashi and allowed our team's push to take the day. I didn't even die :p
15:55 To be fair to the Myoko, we only spotted him when he came within 8km of us, which means the Icarus couldn't see him, which means he couldn't see the Icarus. Remove the Icarus, and it's just a 1v1, where he had more health. And yes, he still shouldn't have turned broadside on, but then, neither should Dabz. The only reason Dabz survived that duel with so little damage was the great positioning from the Icarus.

Actually Jingles...I believe Myoko has 25mm side armor, so it can easily bounce Konig 305mm off its side, angled, at that range.
But I tell ya, seeing the Myoko spotted, you can just “feel” the anger from the enemy team, dropping everything just to kill him, lol!
I like the Myoko, but my biggest problem with the Myoko is it has the slowest turning radius of the 203s I believe. Aoba, Mogami, Ibuki, all have the same fun, but this one in particular is very slow.
I don't have this game so I'm glad we have guys like Jingles doing the play by play. It lets me know what is going on. I do want to say that Jingles, while he makes mistakes as pointed out by his longtime fans, is a good funny commentator and I wish I had discovered his channel sooner.
Ironic when Jingles says "I'm with stupid", but he can't realise the Helena in the beginning was angled against every other ship except the Myoko and couldn't use his repair because it was on cooldown. Then trying to be smart with explaining how the enemy Myoko could have won the match, while probably he had no clue where the DD was in the first place. And lastly laughing at the enemy Aoba, but completely ditching the fact, the guy was engaged by 3 enemy ships at the same time and was under heavy pressure...

I think that Myoko who gave broadside was switching to AP, but since Dabz was on much lower health (adrenaline rush) and switched to AP sooner, he was able to fire his salvo sooner...

That Kirov first tried to stop in the smoke but couldn't so he decided to make a run for. He actually had pretty good cover anyway cause of the island to his right. There was only one bb able to shoot him. So it wasn't that bad but in the end he tucked it up xD

Would you do me a favor and throw out a team and how other players can team play the right way. Many new players looking for a guild or groups, to look to be better although WoWs making ing in very difficult.
Had a game in the Nikki a while back.
In the last minute the pointslead change four times. I really had to lie down after that one but it was a win so I didn't feel too bad.

In all fairness to the Rear Admiral, not lining up to eat 17k+ of AP damage to your broadside is a perfectly valid reason all by itself.
The miyoko probably didn't know the icarus was in position to torp since it was behind an island.
Had that happen a lot. Teammate asks for help. I go to help..he runs away and quits firing...I get focused fire...

2. The award for best idiot is called the Darwin Award. I know one guy who won it tried to weld a decorative piece of metal to a flat piece of steel to make a decorative bookend or something. That decorative piece of metal was a LIVE GERNADE!
