Good video but this doesn't flush the entire system of fluid. You need to turn the wheels back and forth a few times to properly drain all of the fluid. Check out the video - TRW Commercial Steering Systems : Flushing and Air Bleeding the Hydraulic Steering System
you didn't drain the box. I use engine oil instead, recommended by the place that resealed the box for me . when you get a reman at the dealer or parts house, this is one of the places that did it. saved a ton of money going directly to them.
leomikie thanks, and you are correct. I didn’t know at the time I made the vid that it was necessary to do so. I should take it down, just honestly haven’t gotten around to it. Good advice though. Thank you.
Ron Hopkins As cheap as fluid is I replaced the filter and just do a drain&fill on mine more often than required. I’ve got the older metal reservoir with the drain plug in the bottom. I’ve also heard that engine oil could be used but I never have.
I believe the system hold 6 qts, so this wasn't an actual flush. Watch for air pockets. Start truck, turn wheel a dozen or so times, recheck fluid level.
Yup, I usually just pump out the reservoir when it comes to changing the filter, when is time to flush I'm lazy, I have shop do it. Hope they do it right lol
before i even watching the video let me just take a moment to say thank you!!!!! For showing the filter and Numbers clearly in your video. Big Help!!
Very helpful video thank you very muchas gracias señor, really appreciate it 🙏.
Thanks to you video today I did by my self the replace the power steering filter, thank you broth...
I wonder if you have a drain plug on the bottom of the gearbox like mine does?
That way you get more fluid out of system.
Great video anyway.
Wow I have 528K on mine and haven’t changed it. Putting it on my to do list.

Thank you so much 🙏
I just did mine.. thank you..😉😉
The T680 and T880 PS pump reservoir look the same. Is Dextron III required, or can I use Dextron II? I'm doing this tomorrow on my T880.

That fitting that you first took the hose off of, do you know what they are called? I can't find them anywhere and have several oozing at the nut.

Mines doing the same thing.
What grade???????????????
I used 15W40 motor oil on my truck it's a 1998 century is that a bad idea.
No, we used it on the company truck's I drove in the oil fields in Texas. No problems.
Thought you can use dot 3 brake fluid oil in the power steering
Can I put power steering fluid from pilot
Yes, Pilot sells it under their own brand, rated Dexron III Mercon.
You ever seen a bottle of atf instruct you to use it as power steering fluid ? No.
You aren’t really this stupid, right?
It says it on the reservoir. “Use dextron lll ATF oil”
It's on most reservoirs to use ATF III or IV my Ford calls for it also.
"That's more than I want to suck" says every girl
Very low volume...
The filter needs to get replaced at a 100 thousand mile not the fluid
Young Stunt Thanks. I’m not a mechanic, just trying to pass along things I’ve picked up along the way. Always appreciate comments like this.

That’s incredulous at best and diabolical at worst. Leading others down a path of squalid fluid maintenance.
