    For my project I have got a transporter bridge system, I need a sensor which could measure the distance from the Gondola to the platform specially when the weather condition are harsh. Like windy or snowy or foggy? If RAdar works, which RADAR Sensor gives in Market?

    • @VEGA_Level_Pressure
      @VEGA_Level_Pressure  14 дней назад

      In general, such a measurement is possible with radar. Compared to ultrasonic, radar has the advantage that it is independent of environmental influences such as fog, wind, dirt or condensation.
      We are already solving applications similar to this, for example in harbors for measuring the distance of large ships docked there.
      We offer a wide range of radar sensors on our website. Sensors that are very compact or those that offer a very large measuring range.
      The right sensor depends heavily on your application. Feel free to contact us directly. We are curious to learn more about your application!

    What system would you recommend to keep track of diesel storage tank level with interface ready for remote monitoring

      Thanks for your question! Guided wave radar would probably be appropriate for your application. A "remote" solution could be made possible with a PLICSCOM with Bluetooth: www.vega.com/en-de/products/product-catalog/signal-conditioning/indicating-instruments/plicscom

    Hello, what type of sensor would you recommend for detecting changes in oil level inside a distribution transformer

    • @VEGA_Level_Pressure
      @VEGA_Level_Pressure  Год назад +1

      Hello, Thanks for your question. There is no general answer to this question. Depending on the vessel geometry, a VEGAPULS free-radiating radar can work here. In very cramped conditions, a guided microwave (VEGAFLEX with coax) is the right measuring instrument. If you require application-specific advice, please contact one of our subsidiaries in your area. helloo what do you think is better for locating object? We’re trying to build a tracker w the use of the ultrasonic sensor, do u think it can be used to locate one subject only?

    • @VEGA_Level_Pressure
      @VEGA_Level_Pressure  Год назад

      Hello, Thanks for your question. Object monitoring is also possible with radar, but you have to watch the speed of the update rate. If your target moves too fast, the output signal cannot follow the change of distance so fast. Our radar sensors have an update rate of typically 2 - 4 measurements per second.

    • @torivicz
      @torivicz Год назад

      ohh i get it, thanks !! Also, do u think it will be possible to use radar with the ultrasonic sensor?

    • @VEGA_Level_Pressure
      @VEGA_Level_Pressure  Год назад +1

      @@torivicz Radar and ultrasonic measurement are two different types of measuring principles with different sensors. Our answer refers to the radar measuring principle only.

    • @torivicz
      @torivicz Год назад +1

      @@VEGA_Level_Pressure oh okay. if we would use radar for monitoring one object only, do we have to use another apparatus to create the tracker or we can continue w the radar along w an arduino?

    • @VEGA_Level_Pressure
      @VEGA_Level_Pressure  Год назад +1

      @@torivicz The sensor is providing a 4 … 20 mA signal which is related to the level or distance. If your Arduino provides an analogue input, it is possible to use our sensor.

    Will Radar work with para amino phenol slurry or not.. we have vega 36 plus & we are facing issue with it.. there also a foam in measuring materail.

    • @VEGA_Level_Pressure
      @VEGA_Level_Pressure  3 года назад

      Thanks for your question. A radar sensor should work in such an application, but of course it always depends on the application conditions.
      The radar signal is less influenced by foam in comparison to ultrasonic, but also the radar signals are damped by the foam. If there really is a lot of foam also the radar technology will reach its limits. Is it possible to find a mounting position with less foam? If not, please contact our colleges on site: www.vega.com/en/company/vega-worldwide

    Mean for gas application use radar will be better, so ultrasonic still ok for liquid application? Is it correct?

    • @VEGA_Level_Pressure

      Hello Arif, Thanks for your question. In our experience 80 GHz radar technology provides reliable measurement results under all conditions: radar sensors are unaffected by temperature fluctuations, vacuum or high pressures and are insensitive to contamination. This makes it easier to separate measurement and interference signals - the measurement is much easier and more accurate. More details about the differences between the two measuring principleas can be found here: indd.adobe.com/view/2cd8db66-e7d1-427e-8a87-a9d9f4075e2e
