the hunter & gatherer in me really enjoys this video. Its satisfying like watching grass being mowed or a driveway being power washed, that same tickle & wish i was gardening
Y'all are always so clever about the meals you cook, but also so clever with the way you plan your garden. The season is upon us and now all the hard work begins. LOL
Your videos are excellent !!! I find myself going back and watching all the older videos while I wait for new videos. Thank you for providing such a great escape from the daily stresses.
Agree, same here, as well. Awesome content to relief of daily stress. Fully understand the people who decide to set out to wilderness and never look back. Today's urban world is tomorrow's ending.
My better half enjoys the gardening & cooking video's ... But Im more into the fishing/hunting & building vids.. Between us, you're covering our interests ..lol
I planted watermelon close to my cucumber and I cut open a watermelon and the inside was a cucumber. My cucumbers are getting round with stripes. My patty pan squash cross pollinated with a different squash so now my patty pans are round.
Ya Ya Hoo I saw a painted cabin....love the color and trim in white. Ya have been busy. Your garden is awesome as always. So excited to see what else ya are doing. Much love from Lenoir NC
I love you guys and envy your lifestyle. But it is so funny to me when you title this vid summer heat in alaska and it is 108 here in dallas again the envy.
I absolutely love watching how productive you both are when you are harvesting and preserving. Honestly this is the life many of us want! I love watching , thanks for another great episode 🙂
I just finished all of your videos. I have to say you two are adorable and I love love love your channel. Some of them I watched more then once. You two plus Bo and Bandit are my favorite family to watch.
I like to use cardboard as a weed barrier ,it works great and you can put wood chips or straw as a mulch on top of the cardboard .Thanks for another awesome video !
The beauty and bounty of your garden makes we weep with joy for you two. Once again, you knocked it out of the park!!! (My 4th year watching.) Consider blanching and freezing some of that broccoli for winter. Frozen is so good when you can't get fresh. Hope you feel loved and wanted! Can you hear us saying, my friends in Alaska caught a gazillion salmon, made the most amazing dinner out of veggies from their garden ... Smile. Congratulations on getting to 600k subscribers!!! You guys deserve it ... and the rest of us reap the benefits of your outstanding content and presentation. Thank you.
Now you tell me, what is better than a Simple Living Alaska garden tour? That's right, nothing is better. I think these are my favourite videos of yours, the garden tours. I love them. Thank you.
Roast your radishes at 400 degrees with olive oil, salt and pepper. 20 to 30 minutes depending on the size. This completely changes the flavor of radishes. They are amazing. Love your video's.
My parents garden in Ohio always had radishes in it, icicle and the red. But radish salsa is a new one, I think the versatility with salsa is the same as pesto, just let your imagination run with it. Lovely!
The best thing about today’s video was the crunchy sound of the greens on the beds as you shuffled through them hunting for radishes and broccoli. Kudos on the sounds!!! Wait, maybe the tacos were the best thing? No, I’ll stay with the crunchy sounds.
Everything looked so lush and healthy in the garden. You must have some dynamite soil. Wish my soil was as fertile as yours but I’m working on it. I believe having chickens help. Great job with the videos. All of them are so interesting.
Love you guys! Feel so invested in your welfare. Been planning to go off grid myself or a long time and that’s what I originally followed you guys and am super duper close to making it happen! You guys have been such an inspiration and you really help me get by vicariously. Thank you! You guys have a lot of us cheering you on out here!
You guys live an amazing life! Here in NW Pennsylvania I don't live off the grid but I do hunt for most of the meat I eat and I plant a big veggie garden and can, freeze and dry a lot of what I grow. I really enjoy your videos.
What can I add to your beautiful greens, and flowers? It is amazing what the return of nature gives you for your hard work. Abundance galore! Your videos not only are they a great pleasure but so instructive on how your living in Alaska is for you. Thank you, keep healthy and safe.
Aaaahhh! I'm so jealous! Summer here in Tucson is not good for growing. I do have arugula volunteers (because they're amazing) growing, and tatsoi and Sorell (in the house under grow lights). But your garden is just beautiful!! Love to you and all the critters💕
Bet your heads are swimming with ideas to use the radish salsa - love watching you create new things and then eating them. Your garden is amazing!!!!!!! I'm in Florida and didn't have that great a harvest - too rainy, too buggy, too humid, now too hot. Unbelievable.
Love you guys. I see Pepper likes to help in the garden. And what would one of your videos be without mister rooster getting in his two cents worth. Love and God Bless.
So impressive what the two of you have accomplished in such a short time. Your garden shows how much effort and research you put into soil building and such. I too married my favorite Tooth Fairy Eric!! Oral hygiene is important in a relationship. More trout and pike fishing!!! Cheers!
Didn't know that each kernel of corn needs to be pollinated too. (I think that's what you said.) Fascinating and beautiful garden. Happy to see Bo with his white eyelashes. Thank you.
You two are just amazing! I can't say it enough! Every video has me watching intently and can't wait for the next! I never get bored with your content, and it's so interesting. Plus, your personalities of course are so just laid back and cool! You are an inspiration and a nice relaxing time watching!
I love squeaky sound of fresh greens and vegetables ❤ your garden at old home was perfect ( in my opinion), 👍can’t wait to see what kind of garden you will make at new home.❤️
Like purple vegetables? Try Pusa Asita carrots from Baker Creek. Best plant-based source of anthocyanin (antioxidant). I especially love them oven-roasted or fermented with red beets (and whole cloves, black peppercorns, and a cinnamon stick). Your canned peppers and scapes look delicious! "Green Goodness".
This is one of my favorite channels. I’ve learned so much from you guys. I wish you guys would make new ones. I’ve learned so much nutrition and I have a pretty good size garden and used a lot of your tips as I continue to eat fresh food and take care of myself trying to conquer, my stage for cancer all these tips from herbs and natural growing has really helped me I watch the same videos over and over and I never get tired of it. I’m not much of a TV person or movie but this channel I love so thank you both I look forward to some more videos.
I am jealous of your garden, since your garden is way better than mine in warm weather (MX) and that is because air Temperature has being higher than average and we have had not much rain and if drought continues that will be bad for farmers as well. Maybe, I should move my garden to Alaska :) "Tacos de pescado" yummy. Radish salsa, that is a novelty to me. Greetings guys!
Nice to be harvesting after all your hard work. I discovered this year that I like my radishes steamed. I steamed both the greens and roots with a bit of butter, salt and pepper. Yum!
The garden videos are my favorites!
Mine too❤
Mine too.they are so hard working people.
I personally couldn't agree more! Also probably one if not my favorite RUclips channel👍
Me too!!! I’m obsessed with the garden / canning / processing ASMR every single season. ✨👌🏽
the hunter & gatherer in me really enjoys this video. Its satisfying like watching grass being mowed or a driveway being power washed, that same tickle & wish i was gardening
The rooster crowing in the background provides the perfect accompaniment to your garden harvesting. It’s an impressive garden indeed.
Yes true!!
YESSSS, I swear I always open my youtube at the perfect time for a notification from you guys!
I was just thinking the same thing!
I wanna be friends with anyone who gets as excited as me for a simple living vid!!!

What amazes me you started your garden on a frozen gravel parking lot! Great job!
Your videos are excellent !!! I find myself going back and watching all the older videos while I wait for new videos. Thank you for providing such a great escape from the daily stresses.
I do the same thing! I like to watch what happened around this time in the years past.
Agree, same here, as well. Awesome content to relief of daily stress. Fully understand the people who decide to set out to wilderness and never look back. Today's urban world is tomorrow's ending.

Me Too!
Nothing better than produce directly from your garden to the table. Thank you for sharing
Are there any foods that you dislike? The variety of foods that you enjoy is amazing. Thank you for taking us along on your journey.
Honestly I think we both enjoy all foods :)
It's so weird. I was watching an older video and wishing for a new one soon, and voila! 😄
I love watching you harvest your garden. It is so satisfying knowing you started it all from seed.
My better half enjoys the gardening & cooking video's ...
But Im more into the fishing/hunting & building vids..

Love your garden! ❤️
I just finished all of your videos. I have to say you two are adorable and I love love love your channel. Some of them I watched more then once. You two plus Bo and Bandit are my favorite family to watch.
Watching for a glimpse of the house! 🏡 The striped squash may be cocozelle.
there is something so satisfying about putting your own food on the table!!
It's never a bad thing to have too many radishes. I think they preserve very well.
I like to use cardboard as a weed barrier ,it works great and you can put wood chips or straw as a mulch on top of the cardboard .Thanks for another awesome video !
Enjoy watching your videos.greetings from Trinidad in the Caribbean.Enjoy all your fishing videos.
Your gardening skills are so impressive Arielle..🔥🔥
You two have illuminated Alaska more than all the tourism promotions combined.
I just love watching your channel Arielle you are so natural! No make up for the shoot no hair dos. Bless you woman you have one hell of a brain!
If you roast your radishes they can replace potatoes. They have a lower glycemic value, good for diabetics.
🐓 I like how your Rooster has a classic crowing sound.
It's a perfect Cocka-Doodle-Doo 😎👌
Those garlic scapes are excellent for cooking. In fact, I believe this is what is used by commercial producers to make garlic butter.
Alaska strong! Love to everyone,💖💗💕💓
OMG….Everyone on the homestead, from you to the chickens, will benefit from your FANTASTIC garden this year!!!
Summer garden harvest videos are my absolute favorite. I hope you have a potato harvest video this year. And show us feeding the chickens!
Soooooo happy to relax my evening to this here in Philadelphia 🇺🇸
Fantastic garden! Love how you process your veggies in so many interesting ways! Love you guys! 💞
Thanks!💞

You guys have such an amazing garden!! Sending positive vibes from North Idaho!
Zucchini look like a Romanesco cross. Radishes are great roasted. Yummy. :)
Bo knows... Pepper's like: "Where'd you plant the bacon seeds?" Great lookin' harvest. Love me some radishes.
Your garden never ceases to amaze me, and I do love watching you use the produce - more videos like this please!

I just want to give your dog a hug, they look like a total angel!

If you get some of those jalapenos off early, while the plants are small, it will help your plants to size up and produce even a better crop.
Awesome!! keep up the great work guys. i am so inspired by y’all!
You guys are lucky in some ways because I’ve been dealing with 90+ degree temperatures for over a month with no end in sight.
