I have unlocked Maine since it came out but was never really interested in it so I never bought it, but anyways I bought the FDG because it really does fit me and i really do love it personally I think it can have a huge battle impact because of how tanks it is and just the overall really nice hybrid play style, so I would really LOVE you to maybe try it out for your next vid maybe you might even get lucky and get a 231k damage game like I did 3 hours ago 😂.
@ I personally run a hybrid build with Franz makes my guns go up to 21km of range and accurate and stealthy at 13.4km concealment and a 8.5km secondary range
@AbdullahAbbas-p5d I run mine with Hyde for the extra heals along with Hipper and the Atlantico commander for extra secondary range and still have 20km range
I was avoiding using tier 8 tech tree ships just based on the lack of the premium modifier for post-battle service cost and the ridiculously high dmg you need to get to avoid losing your a$$ financially when using the high tier tech tree ships. I did do Maine once recently, when it had a winter crate as the windrose reward, figuring that I'd be trading maybe 250k silver for the crate. I was pleasantly surprised to get a lucky battle in which I pulled high dmg and no losses. The ship itself handled grudgingly regarding agility; but, given 10 guns and accuracy, staying relatively clear of bad situations, and some luck on how friendly and enemy ships panned out, I had a surprisingly pleasant match. I had been expecting much worse. I see a definite advantage to having 10+ main guns- seems like every time I use one of the 8 or 6 gun battleships, I'm rather disappointed in the volume of fire and lack-luster damage output even given some decent hits: seems like those too few shells just can't rack up enough damage to make such ships worth playing. I did like using Maine, but prefer using premium ships to avoid financial losses when battles go wrong or just retardedly stupid.
I don’t play Maine often but she is a beast sniper and makes for a fairly respectable AA build with Kong. I seen someone was saying they overheard blip slip Wisconsin is ready to be released. What is your speculation on this?
In my experience you have to get lucky they are broadside or just overmatch in Yamato. Turtleback armor is most effective at close range so I feel like aiming at the water line is still definitely viable at mid-long range. I get them but not often against german battleships. However the battle cruisers are a lot easier to citadel
I believe i go over this in my path to the Bismarck play list. If you want to hear me and see me talk about where to aim to defeat turtleback armor up close but yeah its very good at protecting the citadel at close range
if I ever have the silver to buy t8 ships for fun, I ll do so. until then, the only t8's that I ll buy are those needed for interesting bureau projects. I have american t7 bb's and Montana. It feels like wasting silver to buy Maine. I ll often play against the same ships with 2 less guns and 20k less hp compared to Montana. I need those guns and hp 😅
I ended up getting the Maine last week when I had the xp. I like it when I'm high tier but hate it when going against tier tens lol. Just as you said. Interesting you prefer the Sims build over azure?
My sole problem with American bbs have that horrible rudder shift. I understand some ships need weaknesses, but this ships' strength is reliable guns and it shouldn't be punished that bade for it.
I love my Maine it’s a straight beast I went toe to toe against Iowa , New Jersey and Maushi all at the same time I took all of Maushi health and then I had Iowa and New Jersey point blank on my right side but I know how to angle nothing went through for them I shot Iowa with the front guns took all his health my secondary’s finished him and I dev struck New Jersey with my Rear guns and the carrier final took me down at 4 kills and 250,000 damage Maine don’t care
Even before watching the video....Is Maine good? Of course it is. It is a US Battleship. All US BB's are good. Some better than others but there is no such thing as a bad US BB (above tier 4 anyway).
@@SpartanElite43 Played a lot of games last week , most of them against legendery tier. She is just awful against legendary tier. She is like Iowa but less turret in front , loosing against every batalship 1 on 1. Very hard to play , especially when you have a couple of dumbs in your teem that give you no support.

Love the FDG with hyde 💪

FDG is a garbage bucket
FDG is the worse T8 battleship in the game.
I love Maine it is a fantastic ship that is practically a down tiered Montana with lees guns

Throw enough at the enemy some is bound to stick right?!
1:18 buff my Lepanto back to what it uses to be. No reason why its less effective in terms of secondaries compared to the Angelo
Love the main. I citadeled BigB from 18kms away and he was in a Vermont.
It is in the right hands of corse
The gk player was honestly great.
I enjoy her she isn’t the most solid Tier 8 BB but I enjoy my American BBs

Interesting
French BBs for me. Fit my playing style perfectly 👌
Is there a way to citadel german battleships? 9:13 i cant seem to figure them out...

I just like to show that free to play builds are just as viable
I'm working on getting this one unlocked, soo that being said I have a better idea what I'm in for lol
La pearla azul is a torpedo dd that identifies as a cruiser😅
The Maine is basically a tier 8 Montana
Great video Spartan.
Thanks for watching!
So it's basically a watered down montana
Yup
Would've played montana more if not for that horrible ship service fee for legendary tier
I would pilot it.
Mate give me an American BB and im happy. I personally like the Maine .
Montana from temu
7:20 12 16” guns? I don’t blame you but you forgot that this isn’t the Montana and you have 10 16” guns
Yeah I goofed forgot I was in Maine for a moment but can you blame me with all the paddlins dished out?
@ it’s all good
The Maine is my favorite ship 🔥

Almost all BBs have a slow rudder shift.. I use steering gears on mine to get it a bit better
@SpartanElite43 true though 22 seconds is a bit much
I use new jersey commander also good
Hi
Yes it is for me
Play Duncan! I wanna see LESS 1 Trick Ponys

Why does Maine have 16 guns on pc but only 10 on legends?
Maine on PC is a Super Ship
I was thinking, a way for you to make extra revenue, you should offer a 1 to 1, like charge pple $50 for a 30 minute session on training.
@FlowerPotManx i dont think that is allowed per WG ToS
So Montana but goofier
now you need do play it again in January 2025
😄
Why play yier 8? Because Repub is t8, and its the most fun BB to play in the game
She should be tier 7
Why?

😅 i sold main....too slow for me🤷♂️
I prefer the Montana
Maine is just a underpowered montana in my opinion
I mean its Montana minus 2 guns but she's still nasty
Maine is meh. I unlocked Montana way before t8 was even a thing so I just play Montana.
🇺🇲🇩🇪👌
if only we got the pc version of main 🥲
I know Right?! Fun Fact Though for a bit Maine was a Console Only Ship... then PC felt left out so they took it from us
