    i love bazaar like this...live a month in istanbul and i went to my local bazaar in Balat and the one outside Fatih mosque. I also went to the Findikzade market once. Back in jan-feb 2022 the price was lower than today....but undertandable as lira is very low these days.
    1 stall I will miss the most is the one that sell pickles I called the 'pickleman'. I saw him in every market I went...I love the pickles sold by him and I bought 3 empty jars and brought home the pickle in my luggage and it lasted me for almost 1 year.

    • @BeryIstanbulTips
      @BeryIstanbulTips  11 месяцев назад +4

      Is not close but is easy to reach from Kadikoy, just take the metro line, exchange in Ayralik Cesmesi to Marmaray towards Gebze, and get out in Küçükyalı Marmaray station, the bazaar is just 1 minutes from that station and is only on Thursdays. You can also take the bus number 4,16 or 16D from Kadikoy port and get out in Küçükyalı bus stop and from there you just walk about 5 minutes. Cheers!

    Should we carry both Liras and Euros while visiting Istanbul . I see museum entry prices and tour prices are mentioned in Euros and the local food experience is in Turkish Liras. So do you suggest carrying both these currencies?

    Where can i get dry fruit like dates, pistachio at a good price. I'm in Istanbul right now so i wanted to know 😭

    • @BeryIstanbulTips
      @BeryIstanbulTips  11 месяцев назад +1

      It will be difficult finding pistachios at a good price, everywhere is excessively expensive. Dates, I just bought from a market near my home for 50 TL, it was a small box of approx 300g, depending where they come from is their price, ie (Medina,Bagdad, etc) and they were really good. Try to look at the supermarkets like Migros, Carefour, Cagri, or a bit more expensive place like Macro Center
