    Shima Shahmohammadi She was born in 1983 in Tehran, Iran. She earned B.A in playing Kamancheh and M.A in playing Qeychak from Art University of Tehran. She is actually lecturer and instructor at the University of Applied Science and Technology (art department) and the Music School in Tehran. She has published a method for Kamancheh in two volumes “Dastour-e Kamancheh” and several articles such as “music and modernism”, “genius or devils”, “Kurdish dance, movements and themes”. She has cooperated with many ensembles in concerts and recordings as soloist such as “Khorshid”, “Simorq”, “Neyestan”, “Iran national instrument orchestra”, “khonyagaran mehr”, “Chargan Quartet”, “mahtab”, “derang”, “zandvaf”. Her released Albums are: “Ayyaran” composer: Ahmad Pejman, “Simorq” composer: Hamid Motebassem vocal: Homayoun Shajariyan, “Zaman” composer: Isa Ghafari, “Chargan” compesers: Asghar Bahari, Sharif Lotfi, Abolhasan Saba, Ali Samadpour, Saeid Honarmand, “Fasle baran”, “Asemaneh”, “Az boudan o soroudan” composed by: Majid Derakhshani “Hich magou” composer: Ehsan Zabihifar “Salnameh”, composer: Mohammad Reza Fayyaz

    Maryam Khodabakhsh was born on April 17, 1980. Maryam completed her B.A. in Iranian music from Tehran University (fine arts), 2002. She continued her education obtaining M.A. in playing the instrument Oud from Tehran art university 2013.
    She furthered her techniques on the Oud in masterclasses with maestros Mohammadreza Ebrahimi and Mohammad Firouzi, and “Setar” with maestro Masoud Shoaari as well as Amir Eslami and Sharif Lotfi.
    Her performances at renown international venues in countries such as Germany, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, France, Australia, Slovenia, Malaysia, Armenia, Cyprus and Tajikistan with multiple ensembles and orchestras including:
    •Iran national orchestra,
    •Barbatian
    •Sepid-o-siah
    •Soroushan
    • and etc
    participated in international festivals:
    •Dastgaah (Hannover)
    •Fajr (Tehran)
    •Iranian classical music (Tehran)
    One of the highlights of her career includes her performance at Orlean’s String Orchestra of France as the Oud soloist in UNESCO, 2007.
    She also appeared on multiple recordings such as:

    •Attar
    and etc.
    Maryam has been teaching in Tehran music conservatory since 2014 and is now teaching at the University of Applied and Science Technology UAST Sarvestan and Samin music school.
    Maryam continues her career in music and on her way to becoming a highly influential musician on the instrument Oud.
