Having started Minecraft in the Gear VR, I probably have a different perspective (literally) on building in Minecraft. Unfortunately Gear VR required exporting the HC seasons to Bedrock which messes up their lighting. Season 7 isn't built for VR, with the shear scale of the builds. Season 5 and 6 maps are pretty good in VR if you are confident with an Elytra to cross the larger gaps between bases.
elytra flight in VR is an incredible experience. Especially once you get the hang of the "The elytra go with the direction your hand is pointing in" thing, you start being sable to swoop around independently of where you're looking and it's incredible.
@@leviathanqueen3780 I've officially moved into ViveCraft; VR is the only way I play Minecraft now and I'll never look back. It's incredible. Only downside is, even with a decent PC, it's too demanding to be able to play with all the flashiest graphical mods. But standard OptiFine shaders and a nice texture pack is _more_ than pretty & immersive enough. And the 1.18 caves still make me stop and go "wow", even after playing ViveCraft for more than a few months.

Minecraft being immersive is something less people understand than should. My mom always mentions how blocky the animals are, but I stopped noticing long ago.
I think it would be fun for Mumbo to see all the animals in vr. Bees in particular. Like we know they’re big but you don’t really get how big the bees or any other Minecraft animal is until you’re in vr
I can confirm it’s horrifying, as someone who’s literally watched my brother play the game before I could use a keyboard all of those things are 10x worse and memorized

it was genuinely such a wonderful, delightful experience seeing you experience the world and the game that you put so much time and love into... "firsthand" :) it made me smile so much every time you laughed, very infectious! I think we all want to feel a little like an amazing explorer or architect or hero when we play games, and I could understand VR minecraft contributing to that sort of experience in the case of people like you who put so much impressive talent and time into it!
@@el_Miguel_ the block of water doesn't go all the way up to the same y level as a normal block. It's, like, .9 blocks tall (I'm estimating; I'm not sure the exact height)
Have to say, when I tried going into my Minecraft world in VR, I was also amazed at the scale of everything. You don't realize, those tiny crap trees that generate with the world are like 6-7 meters tall or more, and those ravines are life threatening chasms. It's crazy how the game camera makes everything look so small.
I know he just looks like his normal character to other players, but i can just imagine iskall logging on, looking over at mumbo, and actual mumbo just being there

that sounds like it would be soooooo beautiful, there are so many amazing builds that look absolutely amazing with shaders but seeing them in VR along with the reactions to seeing them in VR would be Great

it was genuinely such a wonderful, delightful experience seeing you experience the world and the game that you put so much time and love into... "firsthand" :) it made me smile so much every time you laughed, very infectious! I think we all want to feel a little like an amazing explorer or architect or hero when we play games, and I could understand VR minecraft contributing to that sort of experience in the case of people like you who put so much impressive talent and time into it!
also, you have a beautiful home. let's see you recreate THAT in minecraft!

When you realize that every block is 1m by 1m:
1x1x1 meter to be nitpicky, it's 3D so there are 3 axis.
also this means a water bucket holds 1m³ of Liquid (=1000L)
@@proxy1035 if you're gonna be nitpicky, water isn't quite 1m*1m*1m. It's, like, 1m*.9m*1m. It's shorter than the other blocks.

@@el_Miguel_ the block of water doesn't go all the way up to the same y level as a normal block. It's, like, .9 blocks tall (I'm estimating; I'm not sure the exact height)

Have to say, when I tried going into my Minecraft world in VR, I was also amazed at the scale of everything. You don't realize, those tiny crap trees that generate with the world are like 6-7 meters tall or more, and those ravines are life threatening chasms. It's crazy how the game camera makes everything look so small.

that sounds like it would be soooooo beautiful, there are so many amazing builds that look absolutely amazing with shaders but seeing them in VR along with the reactions to seeing them in VR would be Great
If you have good enough computer to run vr + shaders in +70 fps (minimal for vr)
