It's 2019 and this video is still relevant, I recently purchased a CCO1 Pajero and the YR suspension kit and your video series are making this build seem effortless! Thanks Matteo!
Gotta say mate, you make top videos. I really enjoy watching them when I'm supposed to be working... I love the way you don't faff around talking in circles. No wasted words, and all very informative, I'd easily recommend you to any rc newbie. Actually I'm an rc newbie, and would love to see a "Matteos rc for dummies." Please keep it going, love the channel, thank you.
What a coincidence it is that I just bought a cc01 chassis. Still learning its ways! Awesome upgrade although it adds more surface area on the bottom of the rear axle. Very nice scale chassis!
That's the nicest steering bellcrank I've seen for the CC-01. I've tried several in mine in attempt to reduce the slop, and the YR seems to be the tightest of them all. Thanks for sharing Matteo!
Yes, it,s not bad. But as I said in the video there is still slop on it. For me this is acceptable. And the bearings save from worn out the parts. Thanks Fil!
Very nice! I like the steering rack it has full bearings on all moving parts Unlike the GPM one with bushings I have on mine that now got a lot of slop from the 2 brass bushings that ride in the aluminum that wore out a bunch now.
Great video. I'm looking to get a CC01 Bronco. I like these upgrades, I'd have them in silver. Also with the metal axles too. Look better, will be stronger and no so easily scratched and marked and so easier to clean.
Daumen hoch!👍

The quality of the parts is better as the GPM. There is still a bit slop on it (I think because of too much links in this steering setup) but the bearings helps a lot.
Matteo, how does this Yeah Racing kit compare to the Tamiya CC-01 Stroke Extension Link (Tamiya Part No. 54519) you used in one of your videos? Which one works better for the rear?
Hi Matteo !

No, never installed these reduction gears. I manage the problem with the high gearing with use of motors with many turns. On my Pajero I've installed a 45 turn motor and it works perfect, even for slow crawling.
No, never. At this time I think there is no need for this glow engines. These are difficult to adjust, not easy to handle and dirty. Brushless motors with lipo batteries have more power and are much easier and clean as well. And Tamiya TGS is an very old platform, I think they are not longer in production, so the spare parts availability will be difficult.
I see. Thanks. I was a little curious about the TGS platform. But as you say today electric power is equal or better. Also the fuel engines sound too much, can't drive them late at night around populated areas.
Matteo, what is your opinion on how the front suspension and steering compares to the GPM you installed on one of your other cars? Better than the GPM?
The quality of the parts is better on the Yeah Racing parts. GPM needs a bit of modifications to fit perfect. Not so big difference when both are correct installed.
Matteo. Have you ever tested any of Traxxa's Slash trophy trucks? You know them? In such case, what do you think of them? I am considering buying a 2WD Slash.

That's weird mine was good took a lot of slop out but over the years got a lot of slop because they did not use bearings in the lower rack.
Had the same results with the GPM as Manalo went back to stock. May look into YR solution. Hopefully they sell just the steering parts.
Thanks Steve! 👍😊
That's true. GPM had a lot of problems with bad manufactured parts.

Hi Matteo, thanks for this video. Will the cc01 work better than an mst cmx with this modification?

@@Matteomeier Gracias!!! I buy This kit
Better than Integy ever will be parts wise.
the backlash is all from the steering servo link...if you used a screw in type instead of a ball and cup it would be much better
The Hot Racing steering upgrade is much better. A little superglue will secure the Hot Racing steering bearings so there is no backlash at all.
Ok, I don't know this Hot Racing upgrade.
Very nice !!!
Thanks!
