That's cool, it's your opinion, but mine is....even better with the accents. Closed the phrases with more intensity. IMO And the staggered beat @1:20 perfect!
Man, I hope there's more where this came from! LOVE me some BlackHawk. My favorite country band, bar none. On a side note: I would've preferred the drummer play it more like the record and not accent so much. Accents are like spice. Just the right amount, and the dish is perfect. Too much, and it's a little harder to swallow. Otherwise, I liked it.
That's Henry Paul and he's a legend. He started out in the awesome southern rock band "The Outlaws" I'm a millennial and was raised on that band during the late 80s and 90s thanks to my father.. Henry eventually formed the country act Blackhawk and had many hits, you can definitely hear the influences of rock in this tune. I took my 8 year old with me to see them a couple months ago for his first concert. Henry Paul still has the voice and is in great shape.
90s Country is timeless. What a great time to be alive.
My absolute favorite band from my childhood. Nobody will ever come close to BlackHawk
Frigin right eh!
Drummer is too busy. Harmony is tight as hell. Love these guys.
Holy cow, they sound live as awesome as they do on their studio albums.
Haven't heard this since I was a little kid, heard it playing on the radio on the way home from work today. Flooded with memories
Saw this band years ago in Crystal River, FL along with Faith Hill and Tim Mcgraw and a few others... one of the best shows I have ever seen!!
Damn this sounds good. I’ve been on such a Blackhawk kick lately. These guys were (and are) great.
The one singing lead here, Henry Paul, was in the Outlaws. But Van Stephenson was a song writing machine.
Love me some Blackhawk!!! They put in an Awesome Phenomenal show!!! Miss you Van!!!
Goated honestly.
